Hanna Instruments HI991002 Extended Range Portable pH/pH-mV/ORP/Temperature Meter

The Hanna Instruments HI 991002 portable waterproof meter with a probe in a stainless steel and titanium enclosure measures extended range pH and ORP (oxidation reduction potential) on a large LCD screen that displays the primary reading, temperature, and calibration guides for plating baths, waste water, swimming pool and spa water quality, and environmental applications. The instrument is waterproof and has a compact casing. The Hold button freezes the reading on the display for manual recording. pH can be automatically calibrated at one or two points with two memorized buffer sets (standard 4.01, 7.01, 10.01, or NIST 4.01, 6.86, 9.18). Temperature scale can be displayed in C or F. The on-screen tutorial messages explain how to select calibration buffers and temperature scale options.

Power management features include the percentage of remaining battery power displayed at startup, automatic shut-off after eight minutes of inactivity, and a battery error prevention system that alerts the user when battery is low to avoid issues with parameter readings.

The HI 1297D pre-amplified pH and ORP probe with internal temperature sensor has an easy-to-clean recessed tip that prevents solution solids from collecting on the sensor. The stainless steel and titanium body of the probe functions as a potential matching pin for increased stability of readings and extended sensor life. The probe has a DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) connector and 1-meter/3.3-foot cable that attaches at the bottom of the meter to stay out of the way.

The meter includes a carrying case, pH buffer sachets, calibration solution, and electrode cleaning solution.
