Amprobe DM78C Credit Card Size Multimeter

The Amprobe DM78C digital multimeter is an average-sensing, auto- or manual-ranging multimeter for measuring voltage and resistance in electrical testing applications. The attached test leads measure alternating current (AC) voltage and direct current (DC) voltage to 600 volts (V) and resistance to 34 megaohms. The meter measures 5.1 x 3.1 x 0.6 inches (H x W x D, where H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; and D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back), and it can be carried in a pocket when not in use. It has a liquid crystal display (LCD) that shows readings both in digits and on a 34-segment bar graph. An audible continuity sensor confirms that the circuit conducts electricity, and a diode test detects whether the circuit's diodes work properly. The hold function keeps a reading on the display, even after the meter is disconnected. An auto power-off mode turns off the unit after 10 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life, and a low-battery indicator signals when the meter's batteries need to be replaced.
