This Vision Scientific VME0007B-100-LD high quality binocular compound microscope comes with a pair of 10x widefield eyepieces (one with a pointer), and a pair of 20x widefield eyepieces. The WF 10x and WF 20x eyepieces are interchangeable, allowing for increased magnification from 40x to 2000x. The quality design of the binocular head allows adjustment for interpupillary distances without refocusing. The 40xR and 100xR objectives are retractable and spring-loaded to prevent damage to slides and objectives when focusing. Brightfield LED illumination illuminates the specimen from below, making the specimen appear bright, but much darker than the bright background. This allows the darker specimen to be contrasted by the surrounding bright viewing field.
