The Hanna Instruments HI99551-10 Infrared Thermometer is used for measuring temperature from a distance. The thermometer measures temperature from -20 to 199.9 degrees C, with an accuracy of + or -2 degrees C. The infrared sensor has a 3: 1 distance-to-spot ratio, with a minimum distance from the target of 30mm/1.2 inches. The unit has a hold function to keep the temperature reading on screen and a battery indicator that appears on start up.
