Hanna Instruments Waterproof Portable Medium Range Ammonia Photometer Kit

The HI 96715C is a medium range, waterproof photometer for measuring ammonia levels in water samples.

The meter uses an adaptation of the ASTM Manual of Water and Environmental Technology, D1426-92, Nessler method, and a reaction between the reagent and ammonia in the sample causes a yellow tint. The light source is a light emitting diode, and the light detector is a silicon photocell with narrow band interference filter. A GLP feature indicates when the device was last calibrated and allows the user to restore factory calibration.

Range is 0.00 to 9.99 mg/L (ppm) + or - 0.05 mg/L (ppm) or 5% of reading, with resolution 0.01 mg/L (ppm). The device operates on one 9V battery, with an auto-off function after 10 minutes of non-use. Dimensions are 192 x 104 x 69 mm (7.6 x 4.1 x 2.7”) with weight 360 g (12.7 oz.). Reagents are purchased separately.
