The Walter 40 Series Microscopes feature a tamper proof design. This model is equipped with LED illumination. It comes with a 45° dual view head that allows two people to see the image simultaneously or a digital eyepiece camera to be attached, 10X wide field eyepieces, a reverse nosepiece that makes it easier to place slides onto the stage from the front, 4X, 10X, 40XR and 100XR DIN achromatic objectives, coaxial focus controls, a built in mechanical stage, an Abbe condenser that provides greater resolution and contrast control, as well as an iris diaphragm with a plastic shield that prevents damage to the iris. There are positive stops at both ends of stage travel to prevent damage to delicate specimen as well as optics. Immersion oil, dust cover and user manual are included. This microscope is suitable for students from grades 10–12.
