Hanna Instruments HI98120 Waterproof ORP/Temperature Tester, +/-1000mV ORP, +/-2mV ORP Accuracy, 1mV ORP Resolution
The Hanna Instruments HI 98120 is a compact, factory-calibrated, oxygen reduction potential (ORP) and temperature tester that measures in millivolts (mV) and degrees C, has a dual-level LCD screen, a replaceable electrode cartridge with an extendable cloth junction, and a waterproof, dustproof housing that allows the tester to float. An ORP meter, also known as a redox potential tester, measures the oxidization or reduction capacity of a solution, and monitors chemical reactions and ion activity. It is commonly used for water-testing, pulp bleaching, and for biological sample analysis in swimming pools, cooling towers, waste water treatment, and industrial applications. The dual-level LCD screen simultaneously shows the current measurement and the current temperature. This meter has an exposed stainless steel temperature sensor to provide accurate temperature measurement. A stainless steel round connector eliminates bent or broken pins during electrode replacement. The meter comes with the HI 73120 ORP electrode, which has an extendable cloth junction to prolong electrode life. The waterproof, dustproof housing is sealed against humidity and allows the tester to float. The tester works with four 1.5V alkaline batteries (included) for up to 250 hours of continuous operation. An auto power-off feature turns the meter off after eight minutes of inactivity to extend the life of the batteries. The HI 98120 also comes with an electrode removal tool and instructions. Specifications
H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. A pH meter, also called a sensor or tester, is a device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. A pH meter has either a portable or a benchtop body. Many portable meters are handheld devices. Some testers have an internal sensor, and may have a tip and body that fit inside of a container for measurement. A meter is commonly used in many different environments from laboratories to field research and manufacturing facilities. Researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists use a pH meter in aquaculture, agricultural, wine-making, and water-testing, and for scientific applications. Some pH meters may measure additional parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO), conductivity (also called electro-conductivity or EC), temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), salinity, resistivity, or oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV. Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. The company, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001. What’s in the Box?
