These OxiTop automated BOD measurement systems provide a ready-to-use solution for both small and large laboratories. The OxiTop Control system is ideal for larger operations, letting you coordinate test start times and keep track of complex data sets for up to 100 samples. Systems are available in 6- and 12-place configurations and include everything you need to begin testing. Convenient and simple to use - place the OxiTop measuring head directly on the BOD bottle containing the sample. The head senses pressure changes caused by cellular respiration within the closed system and converts that data into BOD values. The measurements are then stored in the imbedded memory for later retrieval. The included IS stirrer base maintains constant temperature and distributes oxygen evenly throughout the sample. Order the optional thermostat box to incubate samples at 20°C; the box measures 16-3/4"W x 14-3/4"H x 23-5/8"D (42.5 x 37.5 x 60 cm) and can accommodate an entire 12-place OxiTop system. OxiTop Control System lets you control up to 100 samples simultaneously for effortless data management and reporting. This system uses the OxiTop-C measuring head, which has an infrared interface rather than a display. Data is wirelessly transmitted to the handheld controller where readings are displayed numerically in mg/L and graphically as a progress curve. Each measuring head is automatically assigned a unique ID number, eliminating manual identification of multiple samples. Data can be accessed any time, even during sampling, allowing you to check for errors at an early stage. The sample rate is adjustable and can extend beyond the typical five-day duration.
