Connection Instruction:
Type 1
- 2-Wire transmitter, Nofield power supply
1. Connect modem to transmitter power terminals(red ringindicate positive)
2. Connect modem tocomputer
3. Toggle switch to left (24V/270Ω) position
- 4-Wire transmitter,Field power supply
1. Connect modem to transmitter HART terminals
2. Toggle switch to right (270Ω) position
3. Connect modem tocomputer
Type 2
- 2-Wire transmitter, Field power supply, wire resistance < 250Ω
1. Connect in loop in series, Polarityinsensitive
2. Toggle switch to right (270Ω) position
3. Connect modem to computer
Type 3
- 2-Wire transmitter, Field power supply, Wire resistance > 250Ω
1. Connect modem totransmitter power
terminals, Polarity insensitive
2. Toggle switch to middle position
3. Connect modem to computer
