Hanna Instruments Potassium, 0.0 to 50.0 mg/L, Turbidimetric Method (300 Tests)

The Hanna Instruments 93750-03 potassium reagent, for use with the HI 96750 Potassium Portable Photometer, contains the proper dosage for 300 tests that use the turbidimetric method to measure the potassium content in water samples in the 0.0 to 50.0 mg/L range. HI 93750-03 contains three bottles of the clear liquid reagent, and 300 packets of the odorless, white powder required for the two-step process.

A reaction between the reagents and potassium in a sample causes a distinct white cloudiness to appear, which is measured by the photometer. The photometer uses the tetraphenylborate method.

Reagents are used in photometers to measure the light intensity of solutions or surfaces. The reagent is mixed with the sample and placed in the photometer, which then produces a reading.
