The Thomas Stereo Zoom Binocular Microscope has a binocular head that can be rotated 360-degrees to ease eye strain, with single diopter adjustment capability to compensate for different viewing between each eye. This model has a 10x widefield eyepiece field number 20 (FN20), a zoom ratio of 4:1, 1.75x to 180x magnification, a working distance of at least 80mm, parcentered and parfocal lens system, and Greenough parallel optics system for crisp, flat images with brilliant contrast and exceptional depth of field. This instrument comes with a boom or pole stand and certain models come with either upper/lower halogen lighting or upper halogen/lower fluorescent lighting all with dimmers for intensity control. The rack and pinion focusing provides fluid, precise focusing ability with tension control adjustment. The slip-clutch mechanism prevents gear damage. The frosted glass stage plate in the base allows light to pass through from below and provides evenly diffused illumination. This microscope comes with a dust cover, light bulbs, and instructions.
