The ever increasing demand for instant on-site analysis results has created a need for innovative and rugged portable, waterproof meters. Field work can subject instrumentation to the inclemency of weather. Cold, rain, snow, dust and humidity can cause condensation to breech the housing. Once the housing has been compromised, the meter is susceptible to diminishing performance and life. The rugged, waterproof housing of the dissolved oxygen meter solves many of the problems of field use. Calibration is performed with zero oxygen solution, while 100 percent calibration is done in air. The polarographic probe is accurate to 0.3 ppm and is supplied with a 10m cable that allows measurements to be taken even in hard to reach places. Range- O2: 0.0 to 19.9 milligrams per liter (ppm), temperature: -5.0 to 50.0 degree C. Resolution O2: 0.1 milligrams per liter (ppm), temperature: 0.1 degree C. Accuracy at 20 degree C- O2: +/-1.5 percent F.S. Temperature: +/-0.2 degree C (+/-1ºF) (excluding probe error). Calibration: Manual, at one or two points (zero and slope).
