Oakton Waterproof Portable Microprocessor TDSTester Low Pocket Meter, 0 to 1990 ppm Range

The Oakton 35661-11 TDS Testr Low is a handheld, waterproof and dustproof pocket meter that measures Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), floats, if dropped in liquid, and has + or - 1% full scale accuracy. A portable pocket meter is commonly used to measure the TDS of substance in aquaculture, aquariums, fish ponds, food processing, swimming pools, and in environmental treatment.

This microprocessor meter features a TDS range of 0 to 1990 ppm (10 ppm resolution) to measure TDS in natural water, verify reverse osmosis system operation and tap water quality, and to check nutrient solution concentration in hydroponic applications. It has one-point, push-button calibration located in the battery compartment to avoid accidental recalibration, and has Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) for accurate readings in fluctuating temperatures. It has a replaceable sensor to extend the life of the tester. The meter’s waterproof and dustproof housing is Valox resin, and has an IP67-rating for protection against solid objects or liquids. Its stainless steel sensor tip is both durable and chemical resistant. The meter displays full readings to obtain actual test values, and eliminates the need to multiply the readout. It has a hold function which freezes readings for recording, and an auto shut-off that automatically turns the tester off after 8.5 minutes of nonuse to extend battery life. It has a transparent, protective cap to reduce contamination and protect the sensor. The cap keeps the sensor moist when stored upright, and can be used as a container for sensor-conditioning, or on-site calibration. A lanyard loop located on the top of the battery cap secures attachment.

The 35661-11 TDSTestr Low pocket meter comes with an integral stainless steel sensor, has ATC from 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F), and an operating temperature of 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F). Calibration standard range is 300 to 1990 ppm, with ATC coefficient Beta=2% per degrees C, 1.11% per degrees F, 25 degrees C reference temperature. TDS range is 0 to 1990 ppm, resolution 10 ppm, accuracy + or - 1% full-scale. It comes with a 316 stainless steel electrode and glass-filled thermoplastic polyester. Its dimensions are 6.5 (h) x 1.5 (w) inches (16.8 x 3.8 cm) and it weighs 3.25 ounces. The meter works with four 1.5 V alkaline batteries (not included) for up to 100 hours of continuous use (approximately 600 tests per battery pack). Alternate battery replacement model Eveready 357BP silver oxide (not included) may be used for approximately 140 hours of continuous use.
