This is a brand new, high quality digital k type thermometer for contact temperature measurements. It has one input for K-type thermocouples and can display the temperature in 0.1° steps. It can be used in HVAC trade to check air conditioners, heaters or furnaces with high precision. With the extended measurement range it is also great for industrial applications, metal working, science projects and the laboratory. It can measure very low temperatures and also very high temperatures. It comes with one 3 ft (1 m) temperature probe TC-1, this has a green Teflon based plastic insulation and works up to about 392°F (200°C) , but any other K-type temperature probe with miniature thermocouple connector can be used. To use the thermometer for temperatures above 392 degree F you would need a special thermocouple with a fiberglass or ceramic insulation or a stainless steel probe (not included).
