The Amprobe CR50A digital capacitance and resistance tester checks functionality and compatibility of electrical circuits and devices in home and industrial maintenance applications. When set to the low resistance or low capacitance ranges, the unit's zero-adjust pots help eliminate stray resistance and capacitance for more accurate readings. The included set of detachable test leads have test probe tips that are held against the conductor during use and shrouded banana plugs that help prevent shock if the plugs accidentally pull out of the meter while in use. The meter also comes with two alligator clips that fit on to the test probe tips to provide a more secure, hands-free connection than the probe tips. The meter's diode test checks for proper functioning of a circuit's diodes, and an audible continuity buzzer confirms that a circuit is capable of conducting current. The Amprobe CR50A is a manual-ranging meter and requires that the operator choose the appropriate operating range. The liquid crystal display (LCD) has a 2,000-count resolution, meaning it can display up to 1,999 units (3-1/2 digits) before the operating range needs to be changed. A low-battery indicator signals when the batteries need to be replaced. The meter comes with a carrying holster.SpecificationsMaximum resistance detected20 megaohmsMaximum capacitance detected20 millifaradsPower supply9V NEDA 1604, JIS 006P, or IEC 6F22 transistor batteryFuse0.1 amp/250V fuse (one installed, one spare)Standards metEuropean Conformity (CE), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and European Normal (EN) 61010-1, N10140 AustraliaWeight200 g/8 oz.Dimensions6.1 x 2.8 x 1.3 inches/151 x 70 x 38 mm (H x W x D)H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Multimeters are electrical test meters that measure multiple properties of an electrical circuit, such as current, voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. The B&K Precision 308A digital megohmmeter is an insulation tester with three test voltages—250, 500, and 1,000V—for measuring insulation resistance to 2,000MΩ to indicate the condition of windings or cables in motors, switchgears, electrical installations, and other insulated equipment, and it also measures low-resistance to 2,000Ω and AC voltage to 600V, lighting a warning indicator when a live circuit is detected. When a resistance measurement is complete and the test button is released, residual voltage is automatically discharged from the circuit under test. The test button can be locked for extended measurement sessions. Overload protection helps prevent damage to the meter. The meter is built into a carrying case and has a 3-1/2-digit LCD. It is rated for category (CAT) III installations to 600V, which covers equipment in fixed installations, such as switches in the fixed installation and some industrial equipment that is permanently connected to the fixed installation. The unit has a low-battery indicator that signals when the batteries need to be replaced. It comes with eight 1.5V AA batteries, a set of test leads, a 0.5A, 250V fuse, and instructions. Megohmmeters are commonly used for electrical maintenance and testing in industries such as HVAC, transportation, manufacturing, mining, and utilities, among others.SpecificationsMaximum insulation resistance measured2,000MΩTest voltages250V, 500V, 1,000VMaximum low-resistance measured2,000ΩMaximum AC voltage measured600VInstallation ratingCAT III, 600VStandards metIEC safety standard 1010-1; CE markingPower(8) 1.5V AA batteriesWeight1.04kgDimensions (H x W x D)*92 x 170 x 165mm/3.6 x 6.7 x 6.5 inches*H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Megohmmeters, also called insulation testers, are electrical test meters that measure resistance to the flow of current in an electrical component or circui...

The Fluke high-voltage digital megohmmeter is an insulation tester with preset and adjustable test voltages for measuring insulation resistance to 1TΩ (2TΩ for 10kV models) to indicate the condition of windings or cables in motors, switchgears, electrical installations, and other insulated equipment, and it also measures leakage current to 2 milliamperes (mA), capacitance to 20μF, and AC and DC voltage to 600V, signaling when a voltage greater than 30V is detected. In addition to the preset test voltages of 250V, 500V, 1,000V, 2,500V, 5,000V, plus 10,000V for the 10kV models, test voltages can be adjusted in 50V increments to 1,000V and 100V increments above 1,000V. Its PI/DAR (polarization index/dielectric absorption rate) function automatically calculates PI and DAR, which are measurements over time that give a truer indication of insulation condition than single-point measurements. The meter can perform timed tests up to 99 minutes, adjustable in 1-minute increments, and has storage for up to 99 test results. Stored results can be uploaded to a PC with the included FlukeView Forms Basic software. The software is compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, and Vista. For improved accuracy during high-resistance testing, the guard terminal eliminates interference from leakage current. The meter has an LCD that shows the reading numerically and in a bar graph. Megohmmeters are commonly used for electrical maintenance and testing in industries such as HVAC, transportation, manufacturing, mining, and utilities, among others. The meter is rated for category (CAT) IV installations to 600V, which covers equipment at the origin of the installation, such as electricity meters and primary over-current protection equipment, and CAT III installations to 1,000V, which covers equipment in fixed installations, such as switches in the fixed installation and some industrial equipment that is permanently connected to the fixed installation. The unit has a low-battery indicator that signals when the battery needs to be r...

The Amprobe AMC-2 hand cranked insulation tester is an analog meter to measure insulation resistance on wires, cables, transformers, and electrical motors. The unit measures insulation resistance from 0 to 100 ohms using a 500V direct current (DC) test voltage. The test voltage is produced by a hand-cranked constant voltage generator, so the unit never needs batteries. A guard terminal prevents surface leakage from affecting the instrument's readings. The AMC-2 is designed for use by electricians and electrical contractors. Specifications Power supply Hand-cranked constant voltage generator Insulation resistance range 0 to 100 ohms DC test voltage 500V Weight (including batteries) 2.5 lb./1.13kg Dimensions 7 x 4 x 3.6 inches/177.8 x 101.6 x 92.1mm (H x W x D)H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Electrical test meters report electrical circuit properties, such as voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop models, they detect electrical problems in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, or leads connect the meter to a circuit or device. Single-function meters, such as battery testers and voltage testers, measure one property of a circuit; multimeters measure multiple properties. Electrical test meters display information either in analog form using a needle that moves on a calibrated scale, or in digital form using digits or a graphic representation on an LED screen. Meter choice includes the electrical properties to be measured and the anticipated range of results, and should have a rating that is higher than the maximum value of the anticipated range. An electrical test meter has multiple settings that correspond to potential ranges of values for the properties it can measure. A manual ranging meter requires the operator to flip through different settings until the correct range is reached. A...
