The Hioki 3151 Earth HiTester performs 3-electrode and 2-electrode ground resistance testing in tough use in field environments. Recommended uses include ground resistance testing of electrical grounding, mesh grounding, electrical power equipment grounding, and when the measurement point location is at a distance from the insertion point of the grounding electrode. Measurement frequency is switchable from normal (3 point) to simple (2 point) to minimize the influence of harmonic earth voltage. The tester can take measurement readings up to 115% of the actual range. For safety, overvoltage and incorrect connections sound an alarm buzzer. Quick reference instructions are included in the inside cover of the meter to assist with meter use and equipment setup for 3-point and 2-point testing. Ground-resistance meters are used by electricians and contractors working in industrial, utility, and field servicing. The Hioki 3151 tester comes with a 1m black measurement cable, 10m yellow cable, 20m red cable, auxiliary rods, three cable winders, and carrying case. The Amprobe AMC-2 hand cranked insulation tester is an analog meter to measure insulation resistance on wires, cables, transformers, and electrical motors. The unit measures insulation resistance from 0 to 100 ohms using a 500V direct current (DC) test voltage. The test voltage is produced by a hand-cranked constant voltage generator, so the unit never needs batteries. A guard terminal prevents surface leakage from affecting the instrument's readings. The AMC-2 is designed for use by electricians and electrical contractors. Specifications Power supply Hand-cranked constant voltage generator Insulation resistance range 0 to 100 ohms DC test voltage 500V Weight (including batteries) 2.5 lb./1.13kg Dimensions 7 x 4 x 3.6 inches/177.8 x 101.6 x 92.1mm (H x W x D)H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Electrical test meters report electrical circuit properties, such as voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop models, they detect electrical problems in equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, or leads connect the meter to a circuit or device. Single-function meters, such as battery testers and voltage testers, measure one property of a circuit; multimeters measure multiple properties. Electrical test meters display information either in analog form using a needle that moves on a calibrated scale, or in digital form using digits or a graphic representation on an LED screen. Meter choice includes the electrical properties to be measured and the anticipated range of results, and should have a rating that is higher than the maximum value of the anticipated range. An electrical test meter has multiple settings that correspond to potential ranges of values for the properties it can measure. A manual ranging meter requires the operator to flip through different settings until the correct range is reached. A...

The Megger DET4TD2 four-terminal ground resistance tester measures earth ground resistance, soil resistivity, and ground voltage to evaluate the safety and integrity of electrical systems. The tester offers a choice of 2-, 3-, or 4- pole ground resistance testing, and it has a maximum resistance input of 20,000 ohms for testing the resistivity of a range of soil types. The tester's voltmeter displays the ground voltage during use, which helps increase operator safety. The operator can choose between 25V or 50V test voltage output, allowing the tester to be used in agricultural applications. For accurate readings in noisy environments, the tester can filter out ground voltage noise up to 40 volts (V) peak-to-peak. The DET4TD2 comes with one 49' (15 m), two 33' (10 m), and one 10' (3 m) test leads, four ground stakes, and four right-angle terminal adaptors. The tester's liquid crystal display (LCD) provides confirmation of the connection and functionality of the potential and current spikes and indicates the level of ground noise that is present. The DET4TD2 meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standard 61010 and is certified for category IV installations up to 100V, which covers measurements at the source of the low-voltage supply, such as electricity meters and overcurrent protection devices. The tester comes in a hard polypropylene case for transport and storage. The case has an ingress protection rating of IP54, meaning it protects against the ingress of dust and splashing water, making it suitable for outdoor use.
