The answer is : All the clamp meter can measure current on a single wire only, if you put the two wires in the clamp jaw, the reading will be zero, Only from one wire, you get a reading. This splitter virtually splits the wire and you clamp on the splitter around one wire.
The TP202A(Uni-T UT202A) is an Auto/Manual range AC clamp meter, it can be used to measure AC/DC voltage and AC current. Also you can use it to measure resistance, continuity test & diode check. For your convenience, it comes with an essential piece of accessory needed for measuring AC current, a line splitter M920, which is retailed for $15.
