The Hioki 3143 Earth HiTester performs 3-point ground resistance testing that does not require auxiliary ground rods and is suitable for a wide variety of urban environments, even on concrete or asphalt roads. The tester uses the voltage comparison method, which measures the loop impedance of the closed path that goes from the lead wire to earth and then back to a return line strung along the surface. The tester eliminates the need to place and set up auxiliary ground rods.
