The Megger 242002 series duplex test lead with fixed-point duplex hand spikes is for use with Megger DLRO10HD, DLRO10, DLRO10X, 247000, 247001, 247002, 247100, 247101, and BT51 digital low-resistance ohmmeters. This duplex test lead measures both current and resistance when taking four-wire resistance measurements, which are more accurate than two-wire resistance measurements and allow low resistance values to be detected. The lead has a maximum test current input of 10 amp. There is 0.35" (9 mm) between the current and potential probe tips on the duplex hand spikes.A test probe, test lead, test prod, or scope probe transmits an electrical signal to a testing device for display and analysis. Designs range from simple test leads with probe-style or clamp-on tips to more complex oscilloscope probes and current detectors. Some test probes, such as basic test leads, have wires with tips for connecting to test equipment. Other test probes, such as voltage detectors, are built into the meter. Depending on what is to be tested, the probe might either be passive or have active parts that require external power to operate. Some probes require contact for testing, while some are capable of taking measurements from a distance. Some also have finger barriers, insulation, or other features to help protect the operator's hand from electrical shock and burns. Test probes are rated according to the amount of voltage, current, temperature, or other input they can measure. When choosing a test probe, the maximum amount of input that the probe can measure should match or exceed both the maximum amount that can be tested by the test equipment, as well as that of the property expected to be present in the application.Megger manufactures equipment for cable fault locating, protective relay testing, telecommunications and data integrity, and power quality testing under multiple brand names, among them Megger, Biddle, States, and AVO. The company, founded in 1889, is headquartered in Dover, England, and meets International Organization ...

The Ground Resistance Tester Model 6416 measures ground rod and grid resistance and impedance without the use of auxiliary rods. Clamp-on ground resistance testers can be used in multi-grounded systems without disconnecting or de-energizing the ground system under test it. The Model 6416 simply clamps around the grounding electrode or conductor and measures the resistance to ground. By performing measurements on intact ground systems, the user also verifies the quality of the grounding connections and bonds. Resistance and continuity of grounding loops around pads and buildings may also be measured. Three new features unique to AEMC® are: Test frequency selection provides more accurate results in inductive environments Touch voltage indication  indicates the voltage on the display along with a warning buzzer when the voltage derived from current and resistance measurements detect a potentially dangerous touch condition Loop resistance indication alerts the user to the fact that the measurement may not be ground resistance The Ground Resistance Tester Models 6416 and 6417, measure ground rod and grid resistance without the use of auxiliary rods. The AEMC 6290 digital microohm meter is a four-input with two adjustable test current/resistance ranges for precise, low-resistance measurements from 0.1 microohm (μΩ) to 19.99 milliohms (Ω) of switchgear and circuit breaker contact resistance and airframe, rail, and pipeline bonding. The test current can be adjusted from 10 to 100% of the range. Four input terminals enable Kelvin-type, four-wire resistance measurements, which are more accurate than two-wire resistance measurements. The memory function allows storage of up to 200 readings which can be downloaded to a PC with the included software. The software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8, and requires at least 80MB of hard disk space. A cable with USB connector is included for connecting to a PC. Thermal sensors within the meter protect against damage due to overheating by disabling the test current when testing time reaches a set limit. Built into a hard carrying case, the meter has a 4-1/2-digit LCD with a backlight for visibility in low light. The display shows readings numerically and on a 35-segment bar graph. It has a 110V power cord for connecting to a 100 to 130V AC power supply. It comes with a set of Kelvin-type test leads with C-clamps, data download software, a USB interface cable, a 110V power cord, a 12A replacement fuse, an accessory pouch, and instructions. Milliohm meters are commonly used for electrical maintenance and testing in industries such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), transportation, telecommunications, power plants, and utilities, among others.
