It measures rotational, linear, and surface speed for flexibility of use. Its optical sensor is a laser beam that works at a distance up to 40 inches/100cm for user safety. It stores the maximum, minimum, and average test results for ease of data recall, and it automatically shuts off after 30 seconds of inactivity to help preserve battery life. It is autoranging, to display the most appropriate test result value automatically; or it can be set to display results with a fixed decimal value. It comes with a contact adapter, a cone adapter, a funnel adapter, a surface speed wheel, reflective tape, and a 9V battery.
