The Oakton 35640-50 dissolved oxygen (DO) probe has galvanic sensing technology for quick readings, and comes with a ten-foot cable for wide range of operation. A probe, also called a sensor or electrode, measures the DO of a substance, and is commonly used for testing water quality such as wastewater, saltwater, groundwater or drinking water. This probe features two replaceable membrane caps with sealed O-rings for ease of maintenance, and it comes with 50 mL of premixed electrolyte solution for ease of use. Its cylindrical body has an exterior diameter of 0.5 inches to fit inside containers. Its dimensions are 6.8(l) x 1.3(w) inches (17.3 cm x 3.2 cm). The probe is used with Oakton DO 110, DO 300 and DO 600 meters (sold separately). Dissolved oxygen probes are used in a variety of applications to assist in monitoring the amount of oxygen present in water.
