The American Educational 7-1928 goniometer-type basic spectrometer provides students with hands-on experience observing and measuring light spectra. The spectrometer has an adjustable collimator tube, telescope with internal scale, and prism stand. The optical system has an etched scale with a 50A (Angstrom) resolution to provide accurate reading. A prism hood blocks stray light from entering the spectrometer. The spectrometer includes a 600-line/mm diffraction grating, a grating holder, a 3 x 2.5cm glass prism, prism hood, and instructions with activity guide. The spectrometer weighs 10lb. and is 12 x 14 x 18 inches (H x W x D, where H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back).Science education products incorporate applied math and science principles into classroom and homeschool-based projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum to demonstrate STEM concepts and real-world applications through hands-on activities. Science education projects include a broad range of activities, such as practical experiments in engineering, aeronautics, robotics, energy, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology.American Educational Products manufactures learning materials in math, science, and reading/language arts for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The company, founded in 1986, is headquartered in Fort Collins, CO.What's in the Box?Basic spectrometer (7-1928)600-line/millimeter diffraction gratingGrating holderEquilateral glass prismPrism hoodInstructions
