The Oakton WD-35606-55 Ultem Conductivity/TDS Cell is an electrode, or probe, that measures the electrical conductivity (EC) and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of a solution. Probes are commonly used for chemical analysis and to test solutions. This probe features a built-in sensor for automatic temperature compensation (ATC). It has ultem-PEI body housing and stainless steel rings for chemical resistance. The probe has a BNC connector, with snap-lock architecture, to provide tight coaxial cable connection and stability. The electrode provides fast temperature response and reduction of air entrapment for more accurate, stable readings. It has a cell constant (K) =1.0, which is suitable for mid-range conductivity measurements. This probe features a three-foot cable, three-band platinum sensor and has probe style C; it is general purpose, has amber glass, resists Na+ interferences, is single reference junction, and is sealed. It is to be used at a temperature range of 158 degrees F (70 degrees C). Its dimensions are 12(d) x 110(l) mm. The electrode has a removable, plastic probe guard and is intended for use with the Oakton CON 6, TDS 6, and SALT 6 (sold separately). Conductivity is the ability of a solution or material to conduct an electrical current. TDS measurement indicates materials such as salts, bases or minerals, which contribute to electrical conductivity, within a solution. The Cannon-Ubbelohde CUU-75 uncalibrated viscometer has a 1.6 to 8.0 centistokes (cSt) viscosity measuring range and is suitable for the measurement of transparent Newtonian fluids such as fuels and lubricants. It uses a viscometer constant of 0.008 centistokes per second (cSt/s) for calculating kinematic viscosity. The CUU-series size 75 viscometer uses a 254mm depth water bath (not included) for temperature-control testing and a vacuum (not included) to draw a sample up for timed testing between two sets of printed marks. This uncalibrated viscometer is suited for use at temperatures above 93 degrees C (200 degrees F) or below -18 degrees C (0 degrees F) and meets the ASTM International D445 standard for testing viscosity. A viscometer, also called a viscosimeter, is an instrument used to measure the friction caused by the relative motion of a Newtonian fluid and a known surface, and is usually expressed in units of poise (P), centipoise (cP), pascal seconds (Pa s), and millipascal seconds (mPa s). Viscometers have several forms, including but not limited to falling ball, rotational, vibrating, capillary, funnel, and bubble.
