The IRiM uses state-of-the-art infrared technology to transmit data from the MC500 Multi-Parameter Colorimeter to one of 3 optional interfaces. Users can choose to connect to a Computer, a USB printer or a serial printer. The interface can be easily selected, and the choice is displayed by an LED function indicator. The user can switch between the interfaces using a "Select" button. The IRiM comes with the software necessary to begin quickly and easily transfering data to your computer. As an option the data can be saved as an Excel spreadsheet or a .txt file. Measurement data can quickly be printed out, using a specified USB or serial printer connected to the IRiM.

μFocus targets give you a precisely formed dried droplet spot of predetermined size. You can work with larger (1700-2000 μm) spots and use standard spotting techniques. You can also work with much smaller spots (700-900 μm) that allow you to reduce the amount of matrix used, to maintain optimum matrix to analyte ratio with less concentrated or smaller analyte samples. Many users report 5-10x increases in sensitivity. Because μFocus spots are uniform, you also see improvements in spot-to-spot reproducibility, making quantitative analysis and fingerprint assays more reliable.

The BYK-Gardner 8302 S90-series Zahn-type viscosity cup has a 11 to 60 centistokes (cSt) viscosity range and is suitable for testing fluids such as cements and other adhesives. Efflux times range 63 to 604 seconds. It has a metal body with a 12-inch loop handle for hand-dipping into a liquid container and a finger-ring for maintaining a vertical position during use. The orifice diameter is calibrated against National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for testing standard oils. It includes an ASTM certificate. This Number 3 Zahn-type viscosity cup meets ASTM D816 standard for testing rubber cements and ASTM D1084 standard for testing viscosity of adhesives. A viscometer, also called a viscosimeter, is an instrument used to measure the friction caused by the relative motion of a Newtonian fluid and a known surface, and is usually expressed in units of poise (P), centipoise (cP), pascal seconds (Pa s), and millipascal seconds (mPa s). Viscometers have several forms, including but not limited to falling ball, rotational, vibrating, capillary, funnel, and bubble. A falling ball viscometer measures the time it takes for a ball of known diameter and density to fall through fluid in a cylinder of known diameter. A rotational viscometer measures the force required to stir a fluid. A vibrating viscometer measures the power input necessary to keep the oscillator vibrating at constant amplitude while immersed in a fluid. A capillary viscometer has a narrow-bore vertical section with two printed marks that measure time required for a known volume of fluid to fall a known distance. A funnel viscometer, such as a Ford, Zahn, or Shell cup, measures the time it takes a known volume of fluid to flow from the base of a cone through a short tube. A bubble viscometer measures the time required for an air bubble to rise through a fluid. Viscosity measurements are used in laboratories, research and development, process control, and plant quality control applications. Some viscometers are manufactured to meet industry or gov...

These new Ford viscosity cups are extremely easy to use. Simply pour your sample into the cup and measure the time it takes for the liquid to flow through the orifice until the first break in the liquid stream. Use the included table to convert the elapsed time to centistokes (cSt). The cups are made from solid aluminum; the orifice is made from brass. All the cups are calibrated to NIST-traceable oils. An accessory kit, a stand, and a stand with water bath ports are sold separately. Use accessory stand with bath ports to measure viscosity at various or critcal temperatures ±2% production tolerance

The Cannon BS/IP/MSL-4 miniature suspended-level viscometer has a 20 to 100 centistokes (cSt) viscosity measuring range and is suitable for the measurement of transparent Newtonian fluids such as fuels and lubricants. It uses a viscometer constant of 0.1 centistokes per second (cSt/s) for calculating kinematic viscosity of sample sizes as small as 4mL. The BS/IP/MSL-series size 4 viscometer uses a 305mm depth water bath (not included) for temperature-control testing and a vacuum (not included) to draw a sample up for timed testing between two sets of printed marks. It includes an ASTM International certificate of calibration. This calibrated miniature suspended-level viscometer meets the ASTM International D446 standard for suspended-level viscometers and the D445 standard for testing viscosity. Ford Viscosity Cups have been produced by Gardner Laboratory for over forty years. Each cup produced has been in conformance with Viscosity Cup flow characteristics. They are calibrated against standard oils referenced to certified NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) oils. The cups are for low viscosity liquids, their body made of solid bar aluminum and have a stainless steel orifice. The Ford Viscosity Cups are guaranteed to be within 3% (drain time of calibration oil) throughout the recommended use range.
