This kit consists of a sensor module, a dust cover assembly, and a 10' long cable, and must be used in conjunction with a complete meter that has an LCD display. The kit maintains the FM approval of the meter it's used with, and can accommodate fluid temperatures from -40 to +250 degrees F (-40 to +121 degrees C) depending on the meter being modified. The sensor module has a magnetic pickup of 1.3 kOhm, 90mH; a sine wave signal type; a peak-to-peak voltage of 10mV to 500mV; and a frequency range of 11 to 750Hz. This GPI 113275-1 remote kit assembly is suitable for use in applications where the flow rate of fluids is monitored, such as in the water, petroleum, and chemical industries, among others.Great Plains Industries manufactures fuel transfer pumps, fuel meters, flowmeters, and industrial instrumentation for use in fluid transfer applications. Nephelometric or transmittance measuring-the nephelometric measurement at 90° scattered light is advantageous for lower turbidity, whereas the transmission measurement at 180° is beneficial for medium to high turbidity values: With increasing turbidity, restray and scattering effects between particles are growing bigger. The reduction of light intensity in this case leads to a more accurate result than a 90° nephelometric measurement. Therefore, lab meters for high values are equipped with several measuring options: ratio modes calculate the final result from different measured angles. For ratiometric measurements, there is no specific standard method to be followed; rather, procedures are established by the application or industry. White light has a higher sensitivity for small particles, however, the inherent coloration of the solution has a stronger disturbing effect in this case. The IR measurement is required by DIN ISO, the white light measuring by US EPA.

The Cannon ZCAC-RO-6 Zeitfuchs cross-arm viscometer has a permanently attached 51mm diameter round metal holder and a 200 to 1,000 centistokes (cSt) viscosity measuring range. It is suitable for the measurement of either transparent or opaque Newtonian fluids such as fuels and lubricants. It uses a viscometer constant of 1.0 centistokes per second (cSt/s) for calculating kinematic viscosity of sample sizes as small as 1.0mL. The ZCAC-RO-series size 6 viscometer uses a 230mm depth water bath (not included) for temperature-control testing and a vacuum (not included) to draw a sample up for timed testing between two sets of printed marks. It includes an ASTM International certificate of calibration. This calibrated capillary-style viscometer meets the ASTM International D446 standard for viscometers and the D445 standard for testing viscosity. A viscometer, also called a viscosimeter, is an instrument used to measure the friction caused by the relative motion of a Newtonian fluid and a known surface, and is usually expressed in units of poise (P), centipoise (cP), pascal seconds (Pa s), and millipascal seconds (mPa s). Viscometers have several forms, including but not limited to falling ball, rotational, vibrating, capillary, funnel, and bubble. A falling ball viscometer measures the time it takes for a ball of known diameter and density to fall through fluid in a cylinder of known diameter. A rotational viscometer measures the force required to stir a fluid. A vibrating viscometer measures the power input necessary to keep the oscillator vibrating at constant amplitude while immersed in a fluid. A capillary viscometer has a narrow-bore vertical section with two printed marks that measure time required for a known volume of fluid to fall a known distance. A funnel viscometer, such as a Ford, Zahn, or Shell cup, measures the time it takes a known volume of fluid to flow from the base of a cone through a short tube. A bubble viscometer measures the time required for an air bubble to rise through a fluid. Viscosity me...

The HI 96811 Digital Refractometer is a portable meter measuring the refractive index of samples in order to display sugar content, displaying results within seconds. To take a reading, the sample well must be calibrated with distilled or deionized water, followed by a few drops of the sample liquid. A dual-level LCD screen displays the measurement and temperature within several seconds. The HI 96811 converts the refractive index of the sample to sucrose concentration in units of percent by weight (%Brix, also referred to as degrees Brix). The single 9V battery operated device has Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), and automatically powers off after three minutes of non-use. The HI 96811 has a range of 0 to 50 %Brix/0 to 80 degrees C (32 to 176 degrees F) with accuracy + or - 0.2 %Brix / + or - 0.3 degrees C (+ or -0.5 degrees F) and a resolution of 0.1 %Brix/0.1 degrees C (0.1 degrees F). It’s dimensions are 19.2(W) x 10.2(D) x 6.7(H) cm, with a mass of 420 g. Hanna manufactures additional refractometers which measure sugar content in units such as degrees Baumé, degrees Oechsle, degrees KMW (utilized in the Austrian, German, and Swiss winemaking industries) and measure percent alcohol. Refractometers measure refractive index, which is the optical characteristic of a substance and the number of dissolved particles in it. Refractive index is the ratio of the speed of light in empty space to the speed of light in the substance. Refractometers are often used in the beverage making process to determine sugar content. Hanna Instruments manufactures a wide variety of analytical instrumentation, including pH meters, multi-parameter meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. Founded in 1978, Hanna is headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, with subsidiaries in 32 countries. Hanna Instruments holds many firsts in the field of analytical instrumentation, including a pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor, an electronic pocket-sized pH tester, and a replaceable electrode pH poc...

The BYK-Gardner 0648 replacement bubble viscometer standard tube has a viscosity of approximately 4,056 centistokes (cSt), and is suitable for testing fluids such as resins and varnishes. The 9mL capacity sealed bubble tube standard is lettered Z2 and has a bubble test time of approximately 40.2 seconds. Sample fluid viscosity is determined by comparing bubble rise time to those of bubble tube standards and choosing the closest match. The sealed standard tube has a 15-year shelf life and can be National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) recertified. This bubble viscometer standard tube is ASTM International certified and meets the ASTM International D1545 standard for testing viscosity. BYK-Gardner bubble viscometers are used to quickly determine kinematic viscosity of known liquids such as resins and varnishes. The time required for an air buble to rise is directly proportional to the viscosity of the liquid - the faster the bubble rises, the lower the viscosity. BYK-Gardner bubble viscometers come in lettered tubes A5 through Z10 in four different tube sets covering viscosity ranges from 0.05 to 1,000 stokes.
