Micro cell are for use when available sample volume is less than the volume required for standard square cells. The nominal working volume of these cells is as little as 20 percent of that for standard cells of the same path length. Required volume of the Semi-Micro cells (8491S04, T21, T22, S51 and S52) of 0.9mL can be reduced by elevating the cell so long as the light beam does not strike the walls of the cell.
