The Cannon-Manning CMVC-8 vacuum-calibrated viscometer has a 3.6 to 80 poise (P) viscosity measuring range and is suitable for the measurement of highly viscous materials such as asphalt at 140 degrees F. The CMVC-series size 8 viscometer uses a water bath (not included) for temperature-control testing, and a 300mm Hg vacuum (not included) to draw a sample up for timed testing between two sets of printed marks. This vacuum-calibrated viscometer meets the ASTM International D2171 standard for testing asphalt viscosity. A viscometer, also called a viscosimeter, is an instrument used to measure the friction caused by the relative motion of a Newtonian fluid and a known surface, and is usually expressed in units of poise (P), centipoise (cP), pascal seconds (Pa s), and millipascal seconds (mPa s). Viscometers have several forms, including but not limited to falling ball, rotational, vibrating, capillary, funnel, and bubble. A falling ball viscometer measures the time it takes for a ball of known diameter and density to fall through fluid in a cylinder of known diameter. A rotational viscometer measures the force required to stir a fluid. A vibrating viscometer measures the power input necessary to keep the oscillator vibrating at constant amplitude while immersed in a fluid. A capillary viscometer has a narrow-bore vertical section with two printed marks that measure time required for a known volume of fluid to fall a known distance. A funnel viscometer, such as a Ford, Zahn, or Shell cup, measures the time it takes a known volume of fluid to flow from the base of a cone through a short tube. A bubble viscometer measures the time required for an air bubble to rise through a fluid. Viscosity measurements are used in laboratories, research and development, process control, and plant quality control applications. Some viscometers are manufactured to meet industry or governmental standards, including Ingress Protection (IP), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), International Standards Organization (ISO...

The Hanna Instruments HI 981400-02 is a portable pH meter for use in food preparation and processing with manual one- or two-point calibration, a single-line LCD screen, a Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector for pH electrode, and an outer casing with molded eye to hang the meter. A pH meter is commonly used to measure the pH of substances such as water, food, beer, or wine in lab, industrial and food applications. The single line LCD screen of this meter shows the current measurement and has an LED alarm that flashes red when the reading differs from the selected setpoint. The alarm setpoint range is adjustable from 4.6 to 7.5 pH through a setpoint trimmer. Front trimmers allow manual one- or two-point calibration with offset (pH 7) and slope (pH 4) trimmers. The meter has a flat back to prevent rolling when placed on a table and can be wall mounted using the molded eye. The meter also has a BNC connector for connecting with a pH electrode. The input impedance is 10 E 12 Ohm and the power supply is 230VAC. The meter also comes with a calibration screwdriver, 12VDC adapter, and instructions. A pH meter, also called a sensor or tester, is a device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. A pH meter has either a portable or a benchtop body. Many portable meters are handheld devices. Some testers have an internal sensor, and may have a tip and body that fit inside of a container for measurement. A meter is commonly used in many different environments from laboratories to field research and manufacturing facilities. Researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists use a pH meter ...

The Oakton 35634-10 pH Testr 10 is a handheld, waterproof and dustproof meter that floats, if dropped in liquid, and features a replaceable double-junction electrode within its reusable tester body. A portable meter is commonly used to measure the pH of substance such as food, beer, or wine, and is also used to test cleaning water, rinse water, and wastewater, in lab, industrial and food applications. This microprocessor-based meter has Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) for accurate readings in fluctuating temperatures, and three-point, push-button calibration with auto-buffer recognition of US and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards for a wide range of results. The meter’s waterproof and dustproof housing has an Ingress Protection (IP) 67-rating for protection against solid objects or liquids. It has a large, upright, dual-line LCD screen for ease of viewing, error messages, a hold function which freezes readings for recording, and an auto shut-off that turns the meter off after 8.5 minutes of nonuse to extend the life of the batteries. It has a protective cap to reduce contamination and a double silicone O-ring for ease of electrode module replacement. The 35634-10 tester has an operating temperature from 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F). pH range - 1.0 to 15.0, resolution 0.1, accuracy + or - 0.1, calibration up to three points with US or NIST buffers at 4.0, 6.86/7.0, or 9.18/10.0. Its dimensions are 6.5 (h) inches x 1.5 (w) (16.8 x 3.8 cm) and it weighs 3.25 ounces. The tester works with four 1.5 V alkaline batteries (not included) for up to 500 hours of continuous use (Eveready A76 or LR44 equivalent replacements). pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. They are commonly used for water testing, and for biological sample analysis in hydroponics, aquaculture and agriculture. Oakton Instruments manufactures an array of scientific instruments for research, industrial, and educational uses. Since 1991, Oakton has distributed a wide variety...

Made from optical quality polycarbonate plastic material, these plain form hydrometers are durable and shatterproof making them ideal in situations where rough handling or contamination could be an issue, such as in the food or beverage industries. Available in models measuring specific gravity / relative density (g/cm3) of a variety of liquids in various ranges from 1.0 to 1.620, they have an easy to read black scale on yellow back to help avoid eye fatigue. At 300mm (12â€) long, each hydrometer contains lead free ballast, is individually serialized, and has temperature standardization of 60 degrees F (15 degrees C). DURAC Polycarbonate Hydrometers are made and hand inspected by our U.S. quality team in our exclusive triple accredited/registered ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and A2LA Accredited Calibration Laboratory; internationally recognized and accepted by the signatory economies of the ILAC /MRA and located in our ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System registered facility. They are packaged with a multi-language (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) Statement of Accuracy indicating accuracy traceable to NIST. Made in USA. Note: Polycarbonate hydrometers are not recommended for use with petroleum-based liquids or other corrosives that would potentially affect the plastic material. They should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
