The Fluke 355 digital clamp-meter is a true RMS sensing, auto-ranging multimeter for measuring current, voltage, frequency, and resistance in electrical testing applications. It has a clamp that measures AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) to 2,000A (amperes) (1,400A AC RMS). The clamp has two jaws that can close around an electrical conductor up to 58mm (2.3 inches) in diameter to measure the current of large or multiple conductors without touching or interrupting the circuit. A set of test leads is included for measuring AC voltage to 600V, DC voltage to 1,000V, frequency to 1kHz (kilohertz), and resistance to 400kΩ (kilohms). The test leads are silicone-insulated for flexibility and resistance to heat and cold. The meter has a rotary switch to select the property to measure, and an LCD with a backlight for visibility in low light that turns off automatically after five minutes. The meter's inrush current function analyzes the surge current at the startup of motors and other inductive loads to provide accurate, stable measurements. It features a low-pass filter that reduces high-frequency interference to allow accurate measurements of complex wave shapes. The minimum/maximum function toggles to display the lowest, highest, and average readings. To aid documentation of readings and capture readings in tight spaces, the data hold function keeps the reading on the display after disconnecting from the circuit. A continuity buzzer confirms that the circuit conducts electricity. The unit operates on six 1.5V AA batteries, and turns off automatically after 20 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life. It has a low-battery indicator that signals when the battery needs to be replaced. This true RMS (root mean square) sensing meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear or non-linear loads, regardless of waveform. It is auto-ranging, so it automatically selects the appropriate operating range for the property being measured. Accuracy and resolution specifications vary according to the range bein...

The Mitutoyo 516-series Grade 0 Steel Rectangular Inch Gage Block Set includes a set of rectangular-shaped, high-carbon, high-chrome steel gage blocks with nominal length engraved in inches on each, and is supplied with a Mitutoyo inspection certificate that states that the blocks meet American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B89.1.9-2002 grade 0 standard for flatness, length, parallelism, and surface finish. The inspection certificate specifies the deviation of each individual block from its nominal length. Gage blocks are commonly used to calibrate fixtures and precision instruments in workshop, inspection, and dimensional metrology applications, to inspect tools such as mounting tools, cutters, fixtures, and mechanical parts, and in the gage manufacturing process itself.Grade 0 gage blocks are commonly used in workshop and inspection applications to calibrate and inspect mechanical parts and tools, to verify the accuracy of plug and snap gages, and to set electronic measuring devices. High-carbon, high-chrome steel has a high hardness for minimum deterioration, and is selected for its wear-resistance. Rectangular-shaped blocks provide accurate wringing. The nominal length of each block is measured in inches, and is indicated with laser-etched, black characters. The length of a gage block is usually slightly shorter than its stamped nominal length, to account for the thin layer of oil or wring film used when two or more blocks are wrung together. An identification number is laser-etched on each block for traceability. The set comes with a fitted wooden case for storage. The set includes a Mitutoyo inspection certificate [National Institute of Standards in Engineering (NIST)-traceable] that the blocks meets ASME B89.1.9-2002 standard for flatness, length, parallelism, and surface finish.Gage blocks (also called gauge blocks, Hoke blocks, Jo blocks, slip gages, and Johansson gages) are blocks used to calibrate measuring equipment and to standardize the measurement of length in manufacturing industries. They...

The Fluke 1587 MDT advanced insulation and motor drive troubleshooting kit is designed for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance applications including three-phase motors, cables, switch gear, and in applications where testing is required without the need to break the circuit. The kit includes the Fluke 1587 digital insulation multimeter, Fluke i400 current clamp, and Fluke 9040 phase rotation indicator. The Fluke 1587 digital insulation multimeter (also known as a multitester) is a true RMS, auto- and manual-ranging meter insulation resistance, current, voltage, and resistance for testing line insulation in telecommunications applications. The insulation test voltage settings of 50V, 100V measure resistance from 0.01 to 100 megohms. The meter also measures capacitance, frequency, and resistance. Temperature is measured using a K-type thermocouple (included). A diode test detects correct functioning of a circuit's diodes. A low-pass filter provides accurate AC voltage and AC frequency measurements on inverters and variable-frequency motor drives by blocking unwanted voltages. Live circuit detection increases user safety by preventing insulation tests when voltages exceed 30V, and auto-discharge of capacitive voltage increases user protection. An audible continuity sensor confirms a circuit conducts electricity. The LCD is backlit for readability in low light. A hold function freezes the reading on the display. An alarm sounds when the test leads are connected to the wrong jack for the measurement being taken. The unit automatically turns off after 20 minutes of nonuse to conserve battery life or can be disabled for extended readings, and a low-battery indicator signals when the meter's batteries need to be replaced. The meter included a set of detachable test leads, a remote probe, alligator clips, a hard case, and instructions. This true RMS (root mean square) insulation multimeter provides accurate readings when measuring linear loads, such as standard induction motors and incandescent lights, where the c...

The Chub-E4 has four inputs for reading four different sensors simultaneously, and we’ll configure those inputs in any of three different ways according to your preference. Choose four channels of thermocouple inputs, four channels of PRT/thermistor inputs, or two channels of each. With this thermometer, reading thermocouples, PRTs, and thermistors accurately from the same device is no problem. 100-ohm, 25-ohm, or 10-ohm PRTs and RTDs are read using ITS-90, IEC-751 (DIN), or Calendar-Van Dusen conversion methods. Typical accuracies include ±0.004 °C at –100 °C and ±0.009 °C at 100 °C. Thermistor readings are converted using the Steinhart-Hart polynomial or standard YSI-400 curve and are as accurate as ±0.0025 °C at 25 °C with resolution of 0.0001°. Thermocouple inputs read all the common thermocouple types, including B, E, J, K, N, R, S, T, and Au-Pt, and allow you to choose between internal and external reference junction compensation. Typical accuracy for a type J thermocouple at 600 °C is ±0.35 °C using internal reference junction compensation and not including the thermocouple. (Support for C and U type thermocouples is available. Download the application note Using Fluke Calibration Readouts with Tungsten-Rhenium and other Thermocouples.). PRTs and thermistors connect easily to the 1529 using Fluke Calibration’s patented mini DWF connectors, which accept bare wire, spade lug, or mini banana plug terminations. Thermocouples connect using standard or miniature terminations. Measurements are taken each second and can be taken simultaneously or sequentially. A special high-speed mode allows measurements on one channel to be taken at the rate of 10 per second. If you think three sensor types and four inputs sounds versatile, wait until you see the display panel on the Chub-E4. Displaying measurements in °C, °F, K, ohms, or millivolts and choosing temperature resolution from 0.01 to 0.0001 are just the beginning. The memory and communications capabi...
