The Mitutoyo 468 series Digimatic Holtest LCD inside micrometer has three-point contacts for self-centering measurement of the inside dimension (ID) of bores, and a digital single-value LCD readout that displays in metric units with resolution to 0.001mm. It also has Statistical Process Control (SPC) data output to transmit results to a computer or external device through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. An automatic off function helps preserve battery life when the unit is not in use. The electronics housing has an Ingress Protection 65 (IP65) rating, which means that components are resistant to penetration by dust and debris, and resistant to penetration by liquids and coolant up to the force of a low-pressure (to 30 kilonewtons/meter-squared) water jet. The measuring faces are made of hardened steel are TiN-coated for wear resistance. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single SR44 silver oxide battery, and comes with a fitted case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The Mitutoyo 337 series Digimatic tubular LCD inside micrometer includes a set of solid extension rods to help provide durability when measuring inside dimensions of cylinders, rings, and parallel surfaces. It has a single-value LCD readout that displays in metric units with resolution to 0.001mm, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data output to transmit results to a computer or external device. The output jack transmits SPC results to a computer through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. The Mitutoyo 515-590 bore gage zero checker allows zero adjustment of dial bore gages with a range of 18 mm (0.7") through 400 mm (16") using gage blocks (sold separately). It checks zero point for measurement quality assurance. The flatness of the parallel jaws is 0.5 micrometers, and the parallelism of the parallel jaws is 1 micrometer. The set includes a stand, three attachments, and two dedicated jaws. Bore gages measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gages are typically calibrated with a setting ring. Bore gages come in two types, one simple, and the other direct-measuring. Simple bore gages are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gages take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gages have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gage head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gages are used for fast, single-handed operation with good repeatability from one operator to another. Bore gages, regardless of type, can be used in some special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores. This small hole gauge is well balanced tool that is ideal for accurately measuring small holes, slots, grooves, and recesses in all kinds of work. Accurate measurement is obtained by slightly "rocking" this gauge in the hole to be measured. This will guarantee contact at the true diameter. The final size is then obtained by measuring over the ball contacts with a micrometer.

The Brown & Sharpe 599-591-2 Telescoping Gage Set is an individual gauge that ranges 1/2†- 3/4†and 12.5 - 19 mm. The set has a satin-chrome finish for low glare and durability, and features a knurled lock, helping to provide a more secure grip for ease of use. Handles hold the gage for insertion into bore to determine diameters. Telescoping gages are simple reference tools used for determining bore diameters. They are typically used in conjunction with a caliper or outside micrometer, which are used to take the measurement of the locked telescoping gage once it has been implemented. Brown & Sharpe was founded in 1833, had a major part in setting industrial standards in the United States, and has given its name to several standards, including a tool spindle taper, a worm threadform, and others. Brown & Sharpe was acquired by Hexagon Metrology in 2001, and has since focused on precision measuring equipment and metrology hand tools. The Brown & Sharpe line of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), optical measuring systems, benchtop measuring machines, and precision hand tools offer consistent, high-quality design, construction, and performance. Brown & Sharpe has manufacturing facilities in North America, Switzerland, and China.
