The Brown & Sharpe TESA 05790092 Veribor Bore Gauge has a range of 1.96 to 5.90" and is accurate to + or - 0.002 mm. It uses a two-point contact to detect form and shape deviations on bores and holes. The low-clearance circular articulation offers high repeatability of measurements. A centering shoe helps to correctly align the gauge into the bore, while hardened steel ball measuring tips offer high wear resistance. The shaft design helps to prevent user hand warmth from affecting the measured result.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores.Brown & Sharpe manufactures precision measuring equipment and metrology hand tools. Fowler 54860275 digital (electronic) IP54 inside micrometer with 0.2-1.2†measuring range. The LCD display has a 0.0001" resolution and an accuracy of 0.0002" for precise readings and accurate measurements. Measuring jaws & faces fully hardened & microlapped for accuracy. Each gage includes appropriate setting ring. This inside micrometer is water Resistant to IP54 specifications. It has true inch or metric conversion and direct RS232 output with an easy-to-read LCD display. It has friction-style thimble, which is suitable for one-handed operation and stop turning when the spindle comes into contact with the workpiece, providing constant force for consistent measurements between operators. This product has 1 year warranty offered by Fowler High Precision. If you experience any problem contact Fowler directly for warranty claims. Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.

The Fowler 52-646-250 Right Angle Dial Bore Gauge has a measurement range of 2 to 6" and gradient spacing of 0.0005". This direct-measuring gauge measures difficult-to-reach bores and has an insulated grip for extra stability. It uses a two-point contact system for the detection of geometry problems such as ovality and taper, and carbide-tipped contact points provided extended wear and improved abrasion resistance.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece.
