The Fowler stainless steel vernier height gauge is precise to 0.004" (0.1mm), and has a hand-operated slider, an offset carbide-tipped scriber, and a rust-resistant satin chrome finish. The adjustable main scale has a full 3/4" adjustment range. Zero setting capability resets to zero or any reference figure at any point for easy reading without special calculations. A calibrated screw mechanism supports fine, uniform slider adjustments. A swing-away magnifier plus extra-long vernier scales with wide separations in inch and metric provide exact and precise readings. The included scriber, used to mark position on the workpiece, is carbide-tipped for hardness and durability, and offset for direct reading over the full range of travel. The satin chrome finish on the scales resists rust and is glare-free. Raised lands on the main scale surfaces prevent friction wear. The hardened stainless steel beam and slide provides durability. The base and measuring surfaces are constructed of hardened tool steel and are ground and microlapped.Fowler Precision manufactures inspection and measurement instruments such as electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and digital scales. The Mitutoyo 192-151 dial height gauge has a measurement range of 0†- 18â€, and is precise to 0.001â€, with + or - 0.002†of accuracy. This height gauge has dual, resettable counters that additionally measure up and down distance changes, in 0.01†increments. A hand-operated feed wheel raises and lowers the gauge on the parallel beams, for ease of measurement. The scriber, used to mark a position on a workpiece, is 30 mm x 60 mm (H x L), carbide-tipped for hardness and to help prolong life, and is held to the gauge by a screw clamp for fastening ease. The grip-base helps hold the unit in position by hand. The height gauge weighs 20.28 lbs/9.2 kg. Height gauges, also called gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The vertical position of the gauge and its attached pointer are changed by turning a calibrated screw, or one or more feed wheels. Recorded rotations are read from a scale, a dial, counters, and/or an electronic display. A screw clamp holds the pointer to the gauge. The pointer is typically sharpened to act as a scriber, and can be used to mark a position on a workpiece by scratching its surface. On compatible units, the scriber may be replaced by an electronic touch-signal probe. Height gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1934 and formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963, which is headquartered in Aurora, IL.

The Mitutoyo 192-672-10 LCD Digimatic height gauge displays in inches or metric units within a range of 0†to 24†(0 - 600 mm), has an LCD digital readout with selectable resolution of 0.0005†(0.01mm) or 0.0002†(0.005mm), with + or – 0.0015†(0.04 mm) of accuracy, and data output to transmit results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer for statistical process control (SPC). This height gauge has an electronic microprocessor providing the ability to preset up to two reference heights at any position, hold data at any position, compensate for probe diameter, as well as set a temporary zero position and return to a true zero reading. The output port transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer through an interface cable (not included) for SPC. The gauge has a plug to receive input from an electronic touch probe (not included) for efficient digital measurement. The scriber, used to mark a position on a workpiece, is 45.7 mm x 150 mm (H x L), carbide-tipped for hardness and to help prolong life, and is held to the gauge by a screw clamp for fastening ease. A dual-column beam provides stability that helps promote accurate measurements. A hand-operated feed wheel raises and lowers the gauge on the beam for ease of measurement, and is selectable for coarse or fine travel. The grip-base helps hold the unit in position by hand. The height gauge weighs 18.3 lbs/8.3 kg. The unit comes with an SR44 battery. The Mitutoyo 518-223 high precision Absolute digital height gauge has a measurement range of 0†to 24†(0 to 600 mm), a backlit, LCD digital readout with selectable resolution to 0.00005†(0.001 mm), and data output to transmit results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer for statistical process control (SPC). The gauge is accurate to + or - 0.00011+.0002xL/40†where L is the range travelled from the base position. This height gauge has an electronic microprocessor providing the ability to preset a reference height at any position, to set a temporary zero position and return to a true zero reading, to compensate for the diameter of the probe tip, and to set upper and lower tolerance bounds. The LCD’s dual-color (green and red) backlighting (GO/±NG) indicates in- or out-of-tolerance measurements when bounds are set. The gauge also supports inside or outside diameter measurement of an object by tracing from the circle apex. The LCD digital readout is selectable for display of measurements in inches or metric units. The output port transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer through an interface cable (not included) for SPC, or through an alternate RS-232C port. An electrostatic capacitance linear encoder helps prevent overspeed errors to ensure repeatable, precise measurement. The 5-mm diameter stepped electronic touch-signal probe supports precise digital measurement with triggering in both up and down direction. A slider elevation knob supports hand-operated travel on the roller-bearing beam, with a large feed wheel for even adjustment. The height gauge weighs 59.53 lbs (27 kg). Height gauges, also called gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units.
