The Brown & Sharpe TESA Interapid 312 series dial test indicator has a white face, a 0.157" stem diameter, and inch measurements. The white dial and contrasting black hand help make measurements easy to read, and the dial face rotates to allow horizontal and vertical measurements. The carbide, ball-contact tip reaches into the workpiece for accurate measurements of turned, milled, and ground parts, and for tool setting gauges, fixtures, and inspections. The continuous clockwise pointer rotation and a revolution counter prevent plus or minus confusion. The ball-bearing lever system swivels through to 210 degrees. The dial face is mounted at a right angle to the insert's axis for mounting horizontally or vertically from the front or back of the indicator. A dovetail mount on the back of the indicator provides a rigid setup, and a 4mm swiveling shank on the front of the indicator can be mounted at a range of angles. This indicator has a Monoblock body design with pinions mounted in jeweled bearings in an isolated assembly separate from the outer body, for high accuracy. It has full-metal construction for durability and corrosion resistance. This dial test indicator meets Deutsches Institut fur Normung (DIN) 2270, and Norme Francaise (French Institute for Standardization) NF E 11-053 standards, and includes a declaration of conformity. The set includes an Interapid 312 dial test indicator, a 0.080" (2mm) ball-end carbide contact point, a point key, a Certificate of Accuracy and Traceability, and a storage box. Dial readings with three digits, such as 0-10-0, signify that the indicator has a balanced dial. Dial readings with two digits, such as 0-100, indicate that the dial has a continuous dial. Balanced dials are used to read the difference from a specific surface reference point. Continuous dials are used for direct readings and usually have a larger measurement range than balanced dials.Dial indicators are also called dial gauges, dial calipers, and probe indicators. These precision measuring tools are used to acc...

The Brown & Sharpe chrome-framed outside micrometer has a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise outside diameter (OD) measurements, a convertible friction drive thimble mechanism for uniform or variable pressure during adjustment, and tungsten carbide faces for wear resistance. The micrometer’s frame, thimble, and sleeve have a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. Frames with a base measurement range greater than or equal to 1†are heat-insulated to help reduce temperature-related expansion or contraction. The vernier scale on the thimble and sleeve is graduated to 0.0001â€. Depending on the model, graduation markings on the barrel may be straight or slanted to help reduce parallax errors when reading. The ratchet mechanism can be disabled for variable adjustment control. The spindle and anvil have flat measuring faces and are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. A spindle lock helps provide secure locking of the measurement position. /p>Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Brown & Sharpe manufactures precision measuring equipment and metrology hand tools. The company, founded in 1833, played a key role in setting industrial standards in the United States. Brown & Sharpe was acquired by Hexagon Metrology in 2001, and is headquartered in North Kingstown, RI.

The Fowler 54-646-401 X-tender-E Electronic Dial Bore Gauge Set has a measurement range of 1.4 to 6" and gradient spacing is 0.00005"/.001mm. A minimum hold feature locks on the bore size as this direct-measuring gauge is rocked within the part to be measured. The electronic indicator provides both inch and metric readings. A two-point contact system is used to detect geometry problems such as ovality and taper, and carbide-tipped contact points provide extended wear and improved abrasion resistance. The gauge is self-centering and includes an extension holder. This product has 1 year warranty offered by Fowler High Precision. If you experience any problem contact Fowler directly for warranty claims. Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores. Fowler, an American company, manufactures inspection and measurement instruments such as electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and digital scales. The company, founded in 1946, is headquartered in Newton, MA.  What’s in the box:  ·        Digital Bore Gage (with 2 measuring heads) ·  ...

The Mitutoyo 209 series Digimatic internal tube thickness caliper gauge has a combination analog/digital LCD display and large measuring depth for taking inside dimension (ID) measurements of hole diameters, thickness of grooves or tubes, and other hard-to-reach internal dimensions. Depending on the model, these units may come with either ball contact points suitable for measuring internal wall thickness of tubes, or disc contact points suitable for measuring flat surfaces. The calipers have an Ingress Protection 67 (IP67) rating, which ensures that components are resistant to debris and to submersion in liquid under standard conditions for up to 30 minutes. At minimum, functions include zero-set, preset, automatic power off, inch/metric, and conversion data hold. An output port transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer for statistical process control (SPC) through an interface cable (sold separately). The unit comes with, and is powered by, a single AA battery that lasts approximately 350 hours with continuous normal use. Calipers measure the distance between two opposing sides of an object. They make inside, outside, depth, or step measurements, according to their type. Calipers are commonly used in architecture, metalworking, mechanical engineering, and machining. The simplest calipers have two legs to mark the two points and require a ruler to take the measurement. More complex calipers use two sets of jaws instead of legs and have up to two graduated scales. Vernier, dial, and digital calipers give direct and accurate readings and are functionally identical, having a calibrated scale with a fixed jaw, and another jaw with a movable pointer that slides along the scale. The vernier caliper has a scale sliding parallel to the main scale for an additional, fractional reading to improve measurement precision. The dial caliper has a circular dial with a pointer on a toothed gear rack replacing the second vernier scale. As with the vernier, this second measurement is added to the reading from the m...
