The Standard Gage 00524103 Value Micrometer and Caliper Set includes a 0 to 1" external micrometer, 0 to 6" dial calipers, and a depth measuring base for making precision measurements. The micrometer has 0.0001" graduations and precision of 0.00016". It has carbide-tipped measuring faces, a ratchet friction thimble, and a nut for locking the spindle in place. The dial calipers have a black-face dial indicator with 0.001" graduation increments and 0.100" travel per revolution. The calipers are made of stainless steel and have a nut for locking the jaws in place. The depth measuring base is a T-bar style base that attaches to the dial calipers' ruled blade to aid depth measurement and is 76.2mm long to span holes and recesses for stable measurements. The set comes with a storage case. Calipers and micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Dial calipers are measuring instruments commonly used for inspection in manufacturing to provide the precise measurements of an object. A pair of jaws attached to a long beam with a marked scale is used to measure inside, outside, and step measurements in standard or metric units. An additional depth probe slides along the beam to take depth measurements. One jaw is fixed to the end of the scale, while the other jaw slides along it to take measurements. A circula...

Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores. The Fred V. Fowler Company manufactures inspection and measurement instruments such as electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and digital scales. The company, founded in 1946, is headquartered in Newton, MA.

Starrett combination square consist of a machine-divided, hardened and tempered steel rule (or blade) on which is mounted an adjustable square head. A reversible lock bolt allows the blade to be turned over or end-for-end without removing the lock bolt or nut. This ensures true alignment of the blade and heads. Square head are made of cast iron and are not to be confused with the cheap imitation plastic or die cast heads on the market. The value of Starrett tools is that they are accurate and will last. As the name indicates, this tool can be used for many different purposes - a complete substitute for a whole set of common solid try squares, a 45 degree miter, a depth gauge, a height gauge, a marking or scribing gauge, a level, a plumb and, by withdrawing the blade, it can also be used as a precision rule. This saves littering the workbench with too many tools, each being necessary but may be used less. This results in the goal of all good craftsmen - better accuracy and greater efficiency.

The Mitutoyo 148 series middle-size micrometer head has a vernier scale in metric units for taking precise measurements to 25mm. It is available with a plain stem for mounting in a fixture with a split-body clamp or setscrew, or a clamp-nut stem for quick mounting. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.01mm, 0.001mm, or 0.0001mm depending on the model, and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The measuring face is lapped to help provide accuracy.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. Dial indicators are Mitutoyo’s most popular, and have the widest application. Standard 0.01mm graduation dial gauges having an outer frame with an outside diameter of 57mm. All types come with limit pins and an outer frame clamp as standard. Secured adhesion between the outer frame and crystal as well as the use of an O-ring ensure countermeasures against water and oil permeation via the front face. The outer clamp and lifting lever (optional) can be attached to either the right or left side. These parts can be easily installed and removed without tools.
