The Fowler 52-562-002-0 Horizontal White Dial X-Test Indicator features jeweled movement, revolution counter, automatic reversal and 1" diameter. It has 0.060" measuring range, twice the range of most indicators. 2 dovetail mounting locations, easy-to-read tilted dial, revolution counter, automatic reversal, adjustable bezel for easy zeroing. 0.080" and 0.120" carbide points, 0.040" steel points. This dial X-Test indicator comes with 5/32" and 3/8" dovetail clamps.Dial readings with three digits, 0-15-0 for example, signify that the indicator has a balanced dial. Dial readings with two digits, 0-100 for example, indicate the dial has a continuous dial. Balanced dials are used for reading the difference from a specific surface reference point. Continuous dials are used for direct readings and usually have a larger measurement range than balanced dials. Dial indicators are also called dial gauges, probe, and electronic indicators. These precision instruments measure small linear distances and object sizes. The dial magnifies the measurement so that it can be easily read by the human eye. Frequently used in manufacturing, laboratories, and other industrial or mechanical fields, dial indicators are used anywhere a small measurement must be found and recorded or transferred, such as checking the variation in tolerance of a workpiece. Standard dial indicators measure the displacement along the axis of the indicator. Dial test indicators are very similar to dial indicators, except that the axis of measurement is perpendicular to the axis of the indicator. Dial and dial test indicators can be analog, with a mechanical dial, or electronic, with a digital display. Some electronic models transfer the data electronically to a computer for recording and potential manipulation. This product has 1 year warranty offered by Fowler Precision. If you experience any problem contact Fowler directly for warranty claims. Fowler, an American company, manufactures inspection and measurement instruments such as electronic indicators, cali...

The Fowler 52-229-215 metric Vernier-scale micrometer set has a 0 to 75mm measuring range and a flat anvil/spindle pair for general purpose measuring. The Vernier scale has 0.01mm graduation intervals and an accuracy of 0.004mm for precise readings. The positive locking lever on the spindle locks measurements in place for accurate readings. Carbide-tipped measuring faces provide wear-resistance and long life. Friction thimble with ratchet stop applies constant force for repeatability between users. Friction-style thimbles are suitable for one-handed operation and stop turning when the spindle comes into contact with the workpiece, providing constant force for consistent measurements between operators. The ratchet-stop thimble can be used independent of the friction thimble. It provides an audible sound and stops the spindle from turning when the spindle comes into contact with the workpiece, providing constant force for consistent measurements between operators. The heat-insulated frame helps reduce temperature-related expansion or contraction, providing for accurate measurements. The set includes 0 to 25mm, 25 to 50mm, and 50 to 75mm micrometers, 25mm and 50mm standards, a wrench, and fitted case. SpecificationsDisplay type Vernier scale Anvil/spindle style Flat Measuring range 0 to 75mm Graduation interval 0.01mm Accuracy 0.004mm Thimble style Friction with ratchet stopMicrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shap...

This stainless steel fruit firmness tester has a dual range that allows you to measures general fruit firmness with a range of 0.5-12kg/cm2. with the thinner 8mm tip which is ideal for Apples, Peaches, Pears, Avocado, Kiwi, Tomatoes. You can also change the measurement range by swapping tips to the thicker 11mm diameter tip and using the penetrometers dual display to a measurement range of to 1-24kg/cm2 for tougher fruits. Using the penetrometers dual dial display it makes it easy to measure the firmness of nearly all fruits.
Fruit firmness is considered one of the most accurate ways to test for a fruit maturity and quality. By measuring a fruits firmness you can make decisions about when to harvest, which fruits seeds to breed, can make decisions on which fruits to export or transport and for example which fruits should be processed and which fruits should be sold fresh. Directions for use.1. Turn the trailing dial to zero. 2. Use a potato peeler or a knife to remove the skin layer of the fruit. 3. Position the penetrometer perpendicular to the fruit. 4.Slowly and steadily press the sensor until it penetrates the pulp of the fruit. 5. Once the tip has penetrated the fruit pulp, read the value of the trailing dial.

The Fowler 54-860 series digital outside micrometer has a blade-style anvil/spindle pair, a choice of measuring range, and an LCD with an inch/metric switchable resolution for measuring groove diameters of shafts and workpieces with narrow or recessed features. Carbide measuring faces provide wear resistance. A switchable resolution of 0.00005" and 0.001mm provides precise readings. A friction thimble provides smooth and quiet operations, and is suitable for one-handed operation. Friction-style thimbles stop turning when the spindle comes into contact with the workpiece, providing constant force for consistent measurements between operators. The insulated steel housing provides durability and is Ingress Protection (IP) certified IP54 for protection against dust and water. The LCD has a hold feature that saves the reading for recording. The micrometer can be set to take absolute or incremental measurements. Absolute measurements provide the total dimension of the workpiece. Incremental measurements provide a reading that shows the difference between a set standard and workpiece being measured. This type of reading is often used to determine if a workpiece falls within tolerance levels. RS-232 output transfers data to a computer (cable not included). The micrometer requires a Type 357 battery (included), and includes a fitted case. Micrometers 2" and above include a standard. The Starrett 1025-6 stainless steel pocket slide caliper fits easily in a shop coat pocket and is precise to 1/64†for quick yet precise measurements. Readings are made directly from two lines marked “in†and “out†on one side of the caliper stock. The outside range is 0 to 4-3/4†while the inside range is 1/4 to 5â€. The back of the caliper stock has an inch scale to allow the caliper to be used as a steel rule as well, for easy and fast estimation of rough measurements. The knurled thumb piece activates the slide, while the slide stop prevents the tool from being disassembled. The clamp screw has a left-hand thread for easy one-hand operation. The jaws have a straight measuring surface for outside measurements and rounded nibs for inside and hole measurements. The jaws are 1-3/8†deep, while the closed nibs are 1/4†wide. The graduations on the stock are in 1/32†increments, while the graduations on the slide are in 1/32†and 1/64†increments. Calipers measure the distance between two opposing sides of an object. They make inside, outside, depth, or step measurements, according to their type. Calipers are commonly used in architecture, metalworking, mechanical engineering, machining, manufacturing, carpentry, and medicine. The simplest calipers have two legs to mark the two points and require a ruler to take the measurement. More complex calipers use two sets of jaws instead of legs and have up to two graduated scales. Vernier, dial, and digital calipers give direct and accurate readings and are functionally identical, having a calibrated scale with a fixed jaw, and another jaw with a movable pointer that slides along the scale. The vernier caliper has a scale sliding parallel to the main scale for an additional, fractional reading to improve measurement precision. The dial caliper has a circular dial with a pointer on a toothed gear rack replacing the second vernier scale. As with the vernier, this second measurement is added to the readi...
