The Mitutoyo Series 527 Dial Depth Gauges with Fine Adjustment, Caliper Type, Inch, depending on the model, have a measurement range of either 0 to 6" or 0 to 8", a resolution (or smallest graduation interval) of 0.0015", with + or – 0.001" of accuracy. The dial gauge interface provides precise and easily readable measurements. These gauges are made of hardened stainless steel. The bases of the units are 4" long, and the measuring faces are hardened and lapped for durability and accuracy. The gauges have a fine adjustment screw for taking precise measurements. An optional wider extension base is sold separately. Depth gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. Depth gauges are precision measuring instruments used to determine the depth of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. These gauges often take the form of sliders that travel on a measuring beam or rods, are moved to position by hand, and then adjusted with a calibrated screw. The base of the gauge rests at the top of the shape whose recession is to be measured, while the beam or rods extend to the bottom of the recession to determine the measurement. Gauge position is read from a graduated scale, dial, counters, or an electronic display.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and related systems. The company, founded in Tokyo in 1934, formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963 with headquarters in Aurora, IL.

The Fowler 52-710-025 coaxial indicator has a 1.6" diameter continuous dial, a 0.250" axis offset measuring range, 0.0005" graduations, an accuracy of + or - 0.0002" of true center, and can be used at any angle at speeds up to 800 RPMs for accurate centering and positioning of components in most machining applications. The 0-50 continuous dial remains stationary during spindle rotation and has a total measuring range of 0.250" with 0.0005" graduations. Three internal and three external feelers and a center point feeler have a 1/8" ball diameter and a locating accuracy of + or - 0.0002" of true center. The internal feelers have a measuring capacity of 5/32 to 12". The external feelers have a measuring capacity of 0 to 12". This product has 1 year full warranty offered by Fowler High Precision, an American company. If you experience any problem contact Fowler directly for warranty claims. The set includes a coaxial indicator, three internal feelers, three external indicators, a center point feeler, a restraining arm, and a fitted storage case. Dial readings with three digits, 0-10-0 for example, signify that the indicator has a balanced dial. Dial readings with two digits, 0-100 for example, indicate the dial has a continuous dial. Balanced dials are used for reading the difference from a specific surface reference point. Continuous dials are used for direct readings and usually have a larger measurement range than balanced dials. The Standard Gage outside digital micrometer set includes a set of digital micrometers and standards for zero-setting, and comes with a fitted case for storage. Each micrometer has a mechanical digit counter for precise reading to 0.0001â€, a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise outside diameter (OD) measurements, and a ratchet thimble mechanism for uniform pressure during adjustment. The vernier scale on the thimble and sleeve is graduated to 0.0001â€, and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The spindle and anvil have flat measuring faces and are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. A spindle lock helps provide secure locking of the measurement position. Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Standard Gage manufactures precision measuring equipment and metrology hand tools, and is a product line by Hexagon Metrology. The Starrett 124B solid-rod inside micrometer set offers a range from 2†to 12†and has figures numbered every 0.001â€. The hardened, radius-ground anvils on rods are accurate. Solid-rod inside micrometers are often used for measuring the inside diameter of a cylinder or ring and when measuring parallel surfaces. The micrometer head, rods, and spacing collars are assembled to the desired range and then adjusted to obtain the measurement. Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial.
