The Mitutoyo 350 series Digimatic micrometer head has a single-value LCD readout that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.00005†(0.001mm). It is available with a plain stem for mounting in a fixture with a split-body clamp or setscrew, or a clamp-nut stem for quick mounting. The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. It also has a function lock and two presets. The micrometer has Statistical Process Control (SPC) data output to transmit results to a computer or external device. The output jack transmits SPC results to a computer through an interface cable (sold separately). The micrometer has a satin chrome rust-resistant finish. A spindle lock helps hold measurements in place. The micrometer includes, and is powered by, a single SR44 silver oxide battery.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. Micrometer heads are for mounting in fixtures, where they are typically used for measurement, or as stops or feeds.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1934 and formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963, which is headquartered in Aurora, IL.

The PosiTest by DeFelsko is a high-quality, easy-to-use instrument for measuring non-magnetic coatings such as paint, enamel, plating, and hot-dip galvanizing on steel. It features a rugged housing and durable design, and is not affected by mechanical shock, water, acid, or solvents. The PosiTest can be used in many places that electronic instruments can't go- such as underwater or in explosive environments. The PosiTest is also ideal for inspectors who desire a quick spot check without the cost or complexity of a more advanced electronic instrument. The PosiTest features unmatched quality and accuracy among mechanical coating thickness gages, and each PosiTest comes with a Long Form Certificate of Calibration showing traceability to PTB. The PosiTest also features a wear-resistant Carbide Probe for longest life and continuous accuracy. The PosiTest is easy to use- simply place PosiTest on the coating to be measured, roll the dial wheel forward with your index finger, and depress the visual indicator. Once the visual indicator remains down, use your index finger to slowly turn the dial wheel in the opposite direction, until you hear a click and see the visual indicator pop up. At this point, read the coating thickness on the scale. The PosiTest is precisely balanced to be unaffected by gravity, and can be used in any orientation. Each PosiTest comes complete with leather pouch (with belt clip), wrist strap, instructions, Long Form Certificate of Calibration traceable to PTB, and a two year warranty.

The Brown & Sharpe TESA Interapid 312 series dial test indicator has a white face, a 2mm stem diameter, and metric measurements. The white dial and contrasting black hand help make measurements easy to read, and the dial face rotates to allow horizontal and vertical measurements. The carbide, ball-contact tip reaches into the workpiece for accurate measurements of turned, milled, and ground parts, and for tool setting gauges, fixtures, and inspections. The continuous clockwise pointer rotation and a revolution counter prevent plus or minus confusion. The ball-bearing lever system swivels through to 210 degrees. The dial face is mounted parallel to the insert's axis for mounting horizontally or vertically from the front, top, or back of the indicator. Dovetail mounts on the front and back provide a rigid setup, and a 4mm swiveling shank on the top of the indicator can be mounted at a range of angles. This indicator has a Monoblock body design with pinions mounted in jeweled bearings in an isolated assembly separate from the outer body, for high accuracy. It has full-metal construction for durability and corrosion resistance. This dial test indicator meets Deutsches Institut fur Normung (DIN) 2270, and Norme Francaise (French Institute for Standardization) NF E 11-053 standards, and includes a declaration of conformity. The set includes an Interapid 312 dial test indicator, a 0.080" (2mm) ball-end carbide contact point, a point key, a Certificate of Accuracy and Traceability, and a storage box. Dial readings with three digits, such as 0-10-0, signify that the indicator has a balanced dial. Dial readings with two digits, such as 0-100, indicate that the dial has a continuous dial. Balanced dials are used to read the difference from a specific surface reference point. Continuous dials are used for direct readings and usually have a larger measurement range than balanced dials.Dial indicators are also called dial gauges, dial calipers, and probe indicators. These precision measuring tools are used to accurately measur...

The Starrett 644 Series Dial Depth Gauges, Indicator Type, Inch, have a measurement range of 0 to 3", a resolution (or smallest graduation interval) of 0.001", with + or - 1 graduation (0.001") for the first 2.5 revolutions of accuracy. The dial face has distinct, easy to read figures. The gauges in this series are intended for longer distances and include three round-end contact points to cover the range. The base of these gauges is 2.5" long, and is hardened and ground for durability and accuracy. Model 644JZ includes a fitted case; model 644J is not sold with a case. Electronic indicators and flat-end contact points are sold separately. Depth gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. Depth gauges are precision measuring instruments used to determine the depth of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. These gauges often take the form of sliders that travel on a measuring beam or rods, are moved to position by hand, and then adjusted with a calibrated screw. The base of the gauge rests at the top of the shape whose recession is to be measured, while the beam or rods extend to the bottom of the recession to determine the measurement. Gauge position is read from a graduated scale, dial, counters, or an electronic display. The L.S. Starrett Company manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology and testing equipment, and saw blade products. The company, founded in 1880, is headquartered in Athol, MA.
