The Starrett 82AB1 Head for Dial Bore Gauge has a measurement range of 0.107 to 0.266" and gradient spacing of 0.0001". This indicator is for use with Starrett 82 probes (sold separately). Measurement readings are in inches. This direct-measuring gauge head is useful for controlling approach to tolerance without removing the workpiece from a machine.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores. The L.S. The Fowler stainless steel vernier height gauge is precise to 0.004" (0.1mm), and has a hand-operated slider, an offset carbide-tipped scriber, and a rust-resistant satin chrome finish. The adjustable main scale has a full 3/4" adjustment range. Zero setting capability resets to zero or any reference figure at any point for easy reading without special calculations. A calibrated screw mechanism supports fine, uniform slider adjustments. A swing-away magnifier plus extra-long vernier scales with wide separations in inch and metric provide exact and precise readings. The included scriber, used to mark position on the workpiece, is carbide-tipped for hardness and durability, and offset for direct reading over the full range of travel. The satin chrome finish on the scales resists rust and is glare-free. Raised lands on the main scale surfaces prevent friction wear. The hardened stainless steel beam and slide provides durability. The base and measuring surfaces are constructed of hardened tool steel and are ground and microlapped.Fowler Precision manufactures inspection and measurement instruments such as electronic indicators, calipers, bore gages, and digital scales. Starrett Countersink Gauges are offered in three different angles so that the gauge sets on the angular side of the countersink, as opposed to a chamfer gauge which sets on the top edge of the chamfer. This gauge directly reads the large diameter of the countersink in 0.002" or 0.05 mm increments. A set master ring is furnished with each gauge for calibration and setting. Press the button on top of the indicator to firmly depress the gauge head into the countersink. When the gauge is removed, the indicator reading is held in place until the reset button is activated.

The Mitutoyo 137 series tubular vernier inside micrometer includes a set of extension rods with anvils for a diversified range of measurement measuring inside dimensions (ID) of cylinders, rings, and parallel surfaces. It has a vernier scale in metric units for taking precise ID measurements to 0.01mm, and a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The micrometer head has a travel of 13mm per revolution that helps provide fine positioning. The solid extension rods help provide durability, and the measuring faces are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. A locking clamp helps hold measurements in place. The micrometer and accessories come with a fitted case for storage.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. These gauges directly measure the diameter of chamfered holes. No setting master is necessary. When the three-blade plunger is pressed against a flat surface, the gauge should read the set number stamped on the back of the indicator. In case of wear, the gauge may be adjusted to read the proper number.
