The Fowler 52-174-040 is a height gauge with a Vernier scale, a hand-operated slider, an offset carbide-tipped scriber, a rust-resistant satin chrome finish, a measurement range of 0 to 40" (1000mm), and is precise to 0.001" (0.02mm). The adjustable main scale has a full 3/4" adjustment range. Zero setting capability resets to zero or any reference figure at any point for easy reading without special calculations. A calibrated screw mechanism supports fine, uniform slider adjustments. A swing-away magnifier plus extra-long Vernier scales with wide separations in inch and metric provide exact and precise reading. The included scriber, used to mark position on the workpiece, is carbide-tipped for hardness and durability, and offset for direct reading over the full range of travel. The satin chrome finish on the scales resists rust and is glare-free. Raised lands on the main scale surfaces prevent friction wear. The hardened stainless steel beam and slide provides durability. The base and measuring surfaces are constructed of hardened tool steel and are ground and microlapped. The base is ergonomically shaped for ease of handling. The gauge comes with the scriber, and a magnifier. Height gauges, sometimes referred to as gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The vertical position of the gauge and its attached pointer are changed by turning a calibrated screw, or one or more feed wheels. Recorded rotations are read from a scale, a dial, counters, and/or an electronic display. A screw clamp holds the pointer to the gauge. The pointer is typically sharpened to act as a scriber, and can be used to mark a position on a workpiece by scratching its surface. On compatible units, the scriber may be replaced by an electronic touch-signal probe. Height gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. The Fred V. Fowler Company manufactures inspectio...

The Mitutoyo 568-369 Borematic LCD Bore Gauge has a measurement range of 40 to 50 mm and is accurate to + or - 6 micrometers. The absolute linear encoder helps reduce error, and the LCD screen offers quick and error-free measurement reading with a 330-degree rotatable unit. Three-point contact system detects lobing or triangular form error and TiN-coated contact points provide durability and impact resistance. Gradient spacing is 0.001mm. The gauge has SPC data output for recording and storing measurements on a computer as well as a GO/NO-GO judgment function. Origin point is quickly set with an origin button and the gauge retains this setting for the entire battery life.Bore gauges measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece. They can measure the interior diameter of a hole at any depth, while internal micrometers can only measure to the depth of their teeth. Bore gauges are typically calibrated with a setting ring and come in two types: simple and direct-measuring. Simple bore gauges are used with a caliper to transfer the hole measurement, while the more complex gauges take the measurement directly, and display it through a vernier, dial, or digital display. Bore gauges have a two- or three-point contact, indicating how many points on the gauge head touch the inside of the bore. Two-point contacts are better at measuring ovality, while three-point contacts are used to measure lobing or triangular form error. Pistol-grip bore gauges are used for fast, single-handed operation with repeatable results from one operator to another. Bore gauges can also be used in special applications, such as measuring threads, spline pitch diameters, and deep bores.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and related systems. The company, founded in Tokyo in 1934, formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963 with headquarters in Aurora, IL.

The Mitutoyo 192-672-10 LCD Digimatic height gauge displays in inches or metric units within a range of 0†to 24†(0 - 600 mm), has an LCD digital readout with selectable resolution of 0.0005†(0.01mm) or 0.0002†(0.005mm), with + or – 0.0015†(0.04 mm) of accuracy, and data output to transmit results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer for statistical process control (SPC). This height gauge has an electronic microprocessor providing the ability to preset up to two reference heights at any position, hold data at any position, compensate for probe diameter, as well as set a temporary zero position and return to a true zero reading. The output port transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer through an interface cable (not included) for SPC. The gauge has a plug to receive input from an electronic touch probe (not included) for efficient digital measurement. The scriber, used to mark a position on a workpiece, is 45.7 mm x 150 mm (H x L), carbide-tipped for hardness and to help prolong life, and is held to the gauge by a screw clamp for fastening ease. A dual-column beam provides stability that helps promote accurate measurements. A hand-operated feed wheel raises and lowers the gauge on the beam for ease of measurement, and is selectable for coarse or fine travel. The grip-base helps hold the unit in position by hand. The height gauge weighs 18.3 lbs/8.3 kg. The unit comes with an SR44 battery. Height gauges, also called gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The Mitutoyo 518-223 high precision Absolute digital height gauge has a measurement range of 0†to 24†(0 to 600 mm), a backlit, LCD digital readout with selectable resolution to 0.00005†(0.001 mm), and data output to transmit results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer for statistical process control (SPC). The gauge is accurate to + or - 0.00011+.0002xL/40†where L is the range travelled from the base position. This height gauge has an electronic microprocessor providing the ability to preset a reference height at any position, to set a temporary zero position and return to a true zero reading, to compensate for the diameter of the probe tip, and to set upper and lower tolerance bounds. The LCD’s dual-color (green and red) backlighting (GO/±NG) indicates in- or out-of-tolerance measurements when bounds are set. The gauge also supports inside or outside diameter measurement of an object by tracing from the circle apex. The LCD digital readout is selectable for display of measurements in inches or metric units. The output port transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer through an interface cable (not included) for SPC, or through an alternate RS-232C port. An electrostatic capacitance linear encoder helps prevent overspeed errors to ensure repeatable, precise measurement. The 5-mm diameter stepped electronic touch-signal probe supports precise digital measurement with triggering in both up and down direction. A slider elevation knob supports hand-operated travel on the roller-bearing beam, with a large feed wheel for even adjustment. The height gauge weighs 59.53 lbs (27 kg). The Mitutoyo 368-998 Holtest Type II three-point internal micrometer set has alloyed-steel points, a measurement range of 4.0 to 8.0†and is precise to 0.0002â€, with + or - 0.00025†of accuracy. Alloyed-steel measuring contact points offer durability, while contact point geometry allows the instrument to measure to the bottom of a blind hole. The ratchet stop offers constant force for repeatability. Includes inspection certificate ensuring that the exact micrometer purchased has met National Institute of Standards and Technology master standards. This gage set includes four complete display units, two setting rings, an extension rod, and a fitted wooden case. Bore gages measure holes, or bores, in a workpiece.
