The Mitutoyo 148 series large micrometer head has a vernier scale in metric units for taking precise measurements, and a large-diameter thimble for ease of reading. The micrometer head is available with a standard spindle pitch of 13mm, or with a 6.5mm spindle pitch for slow head travel to help provide fine positioning. It is available with a plain stem for mounting in a fixture with a split-body clamp or setscrew, or a clamp-nut stem for quick mounting. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.01mm, and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish.
