The dial indicators are Mitutoyo’s most popular, and have the widest application. Standard 0.01mm graduation dial gauges having an outer frame with an outside diameter of 57mm. All types come with limit pins and an outer frame clamp as standard. The outer clamp and lifting lever (optional) can be attached to either the right or left side. These parts can be easily installed and removed without tools. Secured adhesion between the outer frame and crystal as well as the use of an O-ring ensure countermeasures against water and oil permeation via the front face.

The Mitutoyo 149 series micrometer head has a small size and a vernier scale in metric units for taking precise measurements to 15mm. It is available with a plain stem for mounting in a fixture with a split-body clamp or setscrew, or a clamp-nut stem for quick mounting. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.01mm, and has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The measuring face is carbide-tipped for wear resistance and is lapped to help provide accuracy.Micrometers are precision measuring instruments that use a calibrated screw to measure small distances. These measurements are translated into large rotations of the screw that are then able to be read from a scale or a dial. Micrometers are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. There are three types of micrometer: outside, inside, and depth. Outside micrometers may also be called micrometer calipers, and are used to measure the length, width, or outside diameter of an object. Inside micrometers are typically used to measure interior diameter, as in a hole. Depth micrometers measure the height, or depth, of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. Micrometer heads are for mounting in fixtures, where they are typically used for measurement, or as stops or feeds.Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1934 and formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963, which is headquartered in Aurora, IL.
