This is a professional digital IR thermometer ST530+ with a larger than normal measurement range. It can measure from -25 Fahrenheit up to 986 Fahrenheit, or from -32 degree Celsius to 530 degree Celsius. A switch on the digital LCD display allows you to easily switch between degree C and degree F. The easy to read display had a white back light, which can bee turned on and off with another button on the display. The spot ratio is 12:1, which means that from 12 inch distance it measures a 1 inch spot, from 24 inch it measures a 2 inch spot. It has a red laster pointer, so that you can see which area you are aiming at. The emissivity is set at 0.95, a good value for many materials. This digital IR thermometer can be used by professionals in the HVAC industry to measure the temperature of furnaces, heaters, exhaust pipes and air conditioners. It also is used in the automotive trade to measure exhaust systems, motors and engine parts.
