The Fluke FLK-VT04-ELEC-KIT electrical kit includes a Fluke VT04 visual infrared thermometer, a Model 117 digital multimeter, and a Model 376 clamp meter. The VT04 visual infrared thermometer has a built-in digital camera, hi-low temperature alarms, time-lapse image capture and a measurement range of 14 to 482 degrees F (-10 to +250 degrees C). The thermal heat map has five levels of overlay that enable the operator to locate precisely the area of concern. The built-in digital camera takes time-lapse images and saves up to 10,000 images per gigabyte on a removable micro SD data card (4 GB card included). Images can be exported for long-term records retention or inclusion in reports using the included SmartView analysis and reporting software.

The Fluke Model 117 dual-impedance digital multimeter measures true RMS- AC amps and volts, DC amps and volts, continuity, ohms, capacitance, low impedance (LoZ) capacitance, and hertz. The meter has automatic AC/DC volt selection, true RMS AC measurements for accurate measurements on non-linear loads, and minimum, maximum, and average data for recording signal fluctuations. The meter also performs a diode test and measures resistance, continuity, frequency, and capacitance. Low impedance (LoZ) measurements deliver a low impedance input to the circuit, eliminating ghost voltages and improving accuracy. The white backlit LED is suitable for use in low lighting. Non-contact voltage detection speeds measurements. The meter includes test leads, holster, one 9V battery, and instructions.

The Fluke 376 true RMS AC/DC clamp meter measures 1,000 amp AC and DC current with the fixed jaw or 2,500 amp AC current with the flexible current probe. True RMS AC voltage and current measurements provide accurate readings on non-linear signals. The iFlex flexible current probe increases the measurement range to 2,500 amp AC and measures awkward-size conductors or in hard-to-reach areas. An integrated low-pass filter and signal processing provide stable readings in noisy electrical environments. Minimum, maximum, and average readings capture signal fluctuations. Inrush measurement technology filters out noise and captures the motor starting current as seen by the circuit protection. The meter has a CAT IV 600V, CAT III 1,000V safety rating. The meter includes an 18-inch iFlex probe, test leads, a soft carrying case, and instructions.

Digital thermometers are instruments used to measure the temperature of air, liquids, or surfaces electronically. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Most digital thermometers use thermistors, which are small electronic resistors. Thermistors are made out of metals that conduct electricity within a certain range and become more conductive the warmer they get. A microcontroller inside the thermometer measures this electrical conductivity and converts it to a temperature, which is displayed on an LCD. Digital thermometers are used in a wide range of applications, including in laboratory settings, food service and storage, and in doctors' offices and hospitals.

Multimeters are electrical test meters that measure multiple properties of an electrical circuit, such as current, voltage, resistance, capacitance, and continuity. Available in handheld or benchtop models, multimeters diagnose electrical problems in electrical equipment, wiring, and power supplies. A variety of probes, clamps, and leads can be used to connect the meter to a circuit or device. Multimeters display information either in analog or digital form. Factors that influence meter choice include the electrical properties to be measured, the anticipated range of results, and the desired level of protection against transient voltage. Safety ratings are based on International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards for low-voltage test equipment. IEC 61010 delineates four overvoltage installation categories. In general, a meter with a category IV rating will provide more protection against transient voltages than a meter with a lower category rating.

Clamp meters, also called clamp-on meters, have two jaws that fit around a conductor to measure electrical current without cutting through wires, or touching or interrupting the electrical circuit. Available in handheld or benchtop models, clamp meters diagnose problems in electrical equipment, wiring, and power supplies. All clamp meters test for current. Some come with test leads and inputs for measuring voltage, capacitance, and resistance. They display information either in analog or digital form.
