1: The battery is not included.
2: The spirit level of the ultrasonic distance meter can be sured in the level when the air bubble is between the lines.

How to use it?
Simply find the spot you want to measure the distance to accurately with the laser and then press the "Read" button. Ultrasonic wave are immediately deployed to precisely measure the distance and the results are shown on the LCD display.
What's more, by taking distance measurements for length and width, the uint will easily calculate area for you. It's just as easy to firgure out Volume, by taking three distance measurements equating to length, width and height.
