This listing includes five cup magnets made of grade 8 ceramic magnet encased inside of a steel cup. The steel cup is chrome plated with a shiny finish. The magnet and the steel cup form a magnetic circuit, which triples the holding power to 50 LB direct pull on a solid steel surface. The steel cup also provides protection to the magnet so it becomes much more durable. The outer diameter of the magnet is 2.4" (60 mm) with 0.27" (6.5 mm) center hole (for a ¼" screw). The total thickness is 0.35" (8 mm). This magnet can be used for magnetic holding, lifting, antenna mounting, positioning, retrieving, and much more.
