Hanna Instruments HI 99300N Waterproof EC/TDS/Temperature Meter, with Amperometric Technology, Low Range
The Hanna Instruments HI 99300N waterproof portable meter with multiparameter probe displays low-range electrical conductivity (EC) and total dissolved solids (TDS) on a large LCD screen that shows the primary reading, temperature, and calibration guides for applications such as water conditioning, fish farming, agriculture, and water treatment. The meter provides single point, automatic calibration with Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC). On-screen icons indicate meter status. Tutorial messages guide users through meter operation and calibration steps. Percentage of remaining battery charge is displayed at meter start-up, and a battery icon appears on the display when only a few hours working time are remaining. The HI 76306 EC and TDS probe has a built-in temperature sensor for simultaneous conductivity and temperature readings. The housing of this meter is rated to IP 67 level of protection against dust and short periods of immersion in water. It has a DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) connector and 1-meter/3.3-foot cable that attaches at the bottom of the meter to stay out of the way. The meter comes with a carrying case, three 1.5V AAA batteries, and instructions. Specifications
H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. A multiparameter meter is a benchtop or handheld device that can take multiple readings on a single sample. It measures parameters such as the pH level (acidity or alkalinity of a substance), conductivity (the amount of salts or other compounds present in water), dissolved oxygen (DO, the amount of oxygen in a liquid), temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS, anything present in water other than the pure water molecule and suspended solids), salinity, resistivity, and oxidation reduction potential (ORP). Applications for multiparameter meters include water testing, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, winemaking, water-treatment plants, and acquaculture. Devices with a benchtop body are often used for indoor laboratory use or in a manufacturing setting; handheld, portable devices are typically used for fieldwork. Sensors are used with a meter to measure the parameters of a substance. Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. The company, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 standards. What’s in the Box?
