ASDQMS SmartCable USB, Keyboard Output, 10-pin Mitutoyo Digimatic input

Advanced Systems & Designs SmartCable with Excel keystroke output connects standard Mitytoyo gages (indicators, micrometers, calipers, etc) and other gages that mimic the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal, to a computer. Gages from Chicago Dial, Mahr Federal, Ono Sokki and others have digital outputs compatible with the Digimatic signal. The output of this SmartCable is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the SmartCable Keyboard to a computer will allow the it to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application. The computer USB connection provides 5vDC power to the SmartCable Keyboard, as well as to pin 9 on the Digimatic connection. Some gages may also obtain power from the SmartCable Keyboard. If your gage cannot receive power from the Digimatic connection, it must have a power supply (batteries) of its own. The SmartCable Keyboard will make the gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard. No Software Wedge Required! Readings can be triggered by any of the following: • Pressing the push button on the SmartCable Keyboard • Depressing a connected footswitch (not included) • Pressing the send button on the gage (if it has one). The SmartCable Keyboard can be easily configured to output data in different modes such as, CR, TAB, up, down, left, right, continuous or continuous readings with timer delay by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard.
