The Mitutoyo 543-552A ID-F ABSOLUTE Digimatic indicator gauge measures to 1” (25.4mm), has a backlit LCD digital readout with resolution of 0.00005/.0001/.0005/.001”, or 0.001/0.01mm, and Go/+ or - No-go (NG) judgment with red and green backlighting. An indicator is an instrument that measures short, linear distances in mechanical engineering, machining, and manufacturing applications.

This indicator gauge has Go/+ or - No-go (NG) judgment when upper and lower tolerances are set. Red backlighting indicates when judgment is out of tolerance, and green backlighting indicates when judgment is in tolerance. A backlit LCD digital readout displays measurements in inches or metric units. Maximum, minimum, or runout value can be displayed during measurement. An adjustable analog bar indicator is integrated to handle lower and upper limit approaching, and zero approaching for ease of operation. An electrostatic capacitance linear encoder helps prevent overspeed errors, which in turn helps ensure repeatable, precise measurement. Once the measurement reference point has been preset, it will not be lost when the power is turned on. Statistical process control (SPC) output transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer through an interface cable (sold separately).
