The YSI EcoSense DO200A is a dissolved oxygen (DO) meter with automatic temperature compensation, manual input for salinity and pressure compensation, and an LCD with prompts and mode indicators that displays DO percentage, DO ppm, and temperature simultaneously. The meter is used for wastewater, surface water, and aquaculture applications in the field or laboratory. It takes either a 4m or 10m field cable or the 200-BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) self-stirring laboratory probe (sold separately). The polarographic electrode (sold separately) has a screw-on cap membrane for convenience. The meter can save 50 data records and runs on one 9V battery (included). It is European Conformity (CE) compliant and is waterproof, with Ingress Protection 67 (IP67). DO meters are commonly used in water-quality testing applications.

Dissolved oxygen (DO) meters measure the amount of dissolved oxygen present in water. The amount of DO helps to determine, for example, drinking water quality, the health of lakes or streams, and aquatic organism sustainability. A probe, also called a sensor or electrode, is inserted into the sample to perform the measurement, and the results appear on the meter display. Applications include sewage and water treatment plants, pollution control, fish farms, and various types of manufacturing.
