The Mitutoyo 293-832 Digimatic MDC-MX digital micrometer is for taking outside diameter measurements. The micrometer has a measurement range of 0 to 1.0" (0 to 25.4mm), resolution of 0.00005" (0.001mm), and an accuracy of + or - 0.0001" (0.002mm). The LCD screen displays in inches and metric units. This micrometer has a friction thimble to help provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurements. The measuring faces are flat and are carbide-tipped for durability. This unit turns off after 20 minutes of idle time and can be turned on by twisting the spindle for convenience.

Additional functions offered by this micrometer include zero setting and alarms for low voltage and counting value composition errors. The measuring force is 5 to 10 Newtons (N).
