PIC Gauge 312L-402CF Stainless Steel Case Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge, 316SS Internals, Welded Connection, 4" Dial Size, 1/2" Lower Back Mount, 30/0/160 psi Range
The PIC Gauge 312L-402CF pressure gauge has stainless steel 316 wetted parts, which provide corrosion resistance, and a glycerine-filled, 4" circular dial enclosed in a corrosion-resistant stainless steel case. The glycerine-filled dial dampens vibration and reduces wear, increasing accuracy and life span compared to dry pressure gauges. Glycerine-filled dials are designed for use in environments exposed to mild changes in temperature. The laminated safety glass lens is resistant to corrosion and scratching that can cause reading errors. The black aluminum pointer is adjustable, and the stainless steel bezel is removable. The gauge has a 30/0/160 psi pressure range with 20 psi figure intervals and 2 psi graduation intervals, and is accurate to + or - 0.5 percent of span over the entire range of the gauge, or American Society for Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Grade 2A accuracy class. The male connection mounted on the lower back portion of the gauge is welded to the case and has a 1/2" National Pipe Thread (NPT) rate. The pressure gauge is suitable for measuring pressure in corrosive environments.
Pressure gauges are instruments used to measure the pressure of a gas or liquid inside a vessel and, often, to help ensure the optimal amount of pressure for a given application. Pressure gauges can range from everyday instruments, such as those used to measure the air pressure in a car or bicycle tire, to highly accurate gauges used in mechanical and industrial processing. Most often, pressure gauges measure pressure relative to a reference measurement. Gauge pressure measures the pressure of something relative to ambient air. For example, a tire pressure gauge or a blood pressure gauge measures the air in a tire or blood flowing through veins relative to ambient air. Differential pressure is the difference in pressure between two points, such as when measuring liquid flow along various points in a pipeline. An absolute pressure gauge measures pressure relative to a perfect vacuum, for example, an atmospheric or barometric pressure gauge. All types of pressure gauges include either a male or a female mount to connect to the vessel where pressure is being measured, and they display results on a dial with varying increments of measure across a given range. Precision Instrument Company, a division of Engineered Specialty Products (ESP), manufactures measuring instruments including pressure gauges, needle valves, thermometers, and plumbing and HVAC gauges. The company, founded in 1983, is headquartered in Kennesaw, GA. |
